Abrasive tweets brought down the leader of the free world.

Can't specifically recall one, but it happened. Lol

Yeah I acknowledge that I may be wrong, but to me that was just a scapegoat for something else going on. A bogeyman to blame for curious hordes of votes inexplicably going to Biden. And to top it off, the narrative shifted over time to "well ya know, the data has actually reflected that believe it or not it wasn't suburban housewives who abandoned ship in mass, it was white men!" Just think about that for a moment, how little sense that makes.

Why does everyone think he will get the rhinos voters ? He is by far the closest thing to Trump . Rhino voters want a democrat but are ashamed to admit it .

I moved to Florida, and it is paradise on earth. I do not put my trust in other people, especially politicians, but Ron Desantis is 1000X the man we could get anywhere else and better than we deserve given the capitulation and unwillingness to fight for our country we have witnessed, we are lucky to have him, In the previous thread about him, I was on the fence, but that guy is solid to the core. I dont think he'll shift like the wind as noem did. Even if he did, at this point, he has already done enough for us that we are deeply indebted to him and he has proven himself many times over. He is literally the best we got, by a long long way, even better than trump, and has passed every test thrown at him

The left creates a narrative. People buy into it. They did the same thing to Bush and deliberately crashed the economy just to own the GOP. I think they believed they could bring it back as quickly as they crashed it.

The tactic against Trump was to create a cacophony. I will admit that Trump helped them beat him. If the GOP had any spine, they would have stood up to it. But we all know how that goes.

Good point, guy. Somehow people are framing Desantis as the anti-Trump. Which is the polar opposite of the truth of the matter. Not that I believe that's a bad thing. I like both Trump and Desantis. But many folks seem to be a little confused.

But my answer to your question would be that hopefully they'd vote for him if he were the nominee because they're not weiners. That may be a lot to ask of that sort though, to not be a weiner for just a few minutes while they vote.

He is my man - but I am quite impressed with Pompeo too. Think he may be better equipped to handle China et al.

Desantis/Pompeo would be dynomite.

There is no reason he couldn't have toned down the rhetoric while still pushing forward the policies he advanced. Without the over the top twitter blasts, among other things, he still would have kept all of his loyal voters as long as he followed through on his campaign promises and would not have turned off millions of voters.

At this point it seems almost criminal for anyone else to be the Republican nominee.

Then again I said the same thing about Rand Paul 4 years ago.

But for me, yeah, I like DeSantis. I also like Rand Paul and still like Scott Walker. I could vote for either of those three very easily.

You had me until you brought Walker into this. It will be a long time, if ever, before I am willing to hand over the keys to the country to a Republican from Wisconsin and I don't think I have to explain to anyone here why I feel the way I do.

I like Pompeo but putting a former head of the CIA in the White House is kind of like a woman putting a potted cactus in the nightstand right next to the dildo.

If he gets the votes from the former Democrats who have either soured on or been chased out of the party the last four years he won't have to get RINO votes.

Facts don't care about your feelings, folks. Stop being pussies and look at the data. I'm doing this because I want to fricking win and want you to see that Trump has a huge suburb problem that he is never going resolve. It's time to move on.

The cultists can't get it through their heads that not everyone thinks like they do so they will never listen. Those that think different are just a bunch of pussies and they don't want their votes apparently.

I could not give a frick less what Trump says or how he says it myself. Hell, he cracks me up quite often. Thing is, I know and understand not everyone feels the same way.

Ask your mother's what they think of Trump. My 74 year old mother absolutely hates his personality and only voted for him because I told her to pinch her nose while doing it. She was going to pass on voting period.

That is not an uncommon occurrence among those that are on the right. Do you really think the religious right likes his personality? Do you think some of them found it difficult if not impossible to vote for him?

Conservatives are notorious for staying home if a candidate doesn't check every box yet somehow Trump is different? He's not.

Step outside your bubble and you will find a large number on the right do not share your love of bombastic bomb throwers.

He's a younger version of Trump, talks a good game but expands gov't reach all the same.

Walker should be discredited for the Foxconn alone.

EVERY woman in family (10-15 libs) despises him. I think the election was rigged, but that basis is difficult to overcome.
