Pretty much the same here.

However I think DeSantis would make better hires and get more accomplished.

I wouldn't hate another Trump presidency at all. I do think DeSantis would be more effective and he seems to support the same policies.

We have a similar view, but I think you are confused about how the Democrats would treat DeSantis. It would be EXACTLY like how they treated Trump. It will be that way with whoever it is. It's not about mean tweets anymore. They hate our guts and anyone that we are willing to vote for is going to get all the vile evil shite they can possibly muster thrown at them just like they did with Trump. If anything, it will be worse because they learned their craft on Trump.

Make no mistake about that.

I want Trump again. Or I want Desantis. Either one. But the other better endorse him. We don't need a split.

I just think desantis is better at handling it. He is definitely the better more eloquent communicator.

I will vote Trump.

You fricks act like Ron DeSantis can't be destroyed or controlled.

Trump has proven himself to be able to handle the enemy. Why do you think they are so afraid of him?

I don't know why you think I have the opinion dems would treat DeSantis better. Any R in the WH is going to be under 24/7 attack by the left.

I do think DeSantis would handle it better.

He wouldn't be doing 2+ hour pressers slinging insults. While I enjoyed it, I also knew he was hurting more than helping when looking at the overall populace.

I am sure DeSantis is a damned good governor, just like Jeb! and Noem is.

Nikki Haley was the push, then Noem and now DeSantis. Jeb! retweets DeSantis.

I think I will wait this one out like Noem. DeSantis may be the shiny object or a true outsider. The Rs are tricksters and if they want him I think I will wait...

i thought the election was stolen, so why would it matter who i voted for?

Well...I mean...despite your lack of judgement to vote for Joe Biden (maybe you voted 3rd party), you've got a point.

If Trump really did win BY ALOT like many on here like to declare, and the election was still stolen, then I guess no one should really accuse you of contributing to the downfall. It wouldn't have mattered if you did vote for Trump.

Rd should pull all the trump votes in 2020 plus all the people who thought trump was too mean(bitches).

I’m leaning Desantis but I’m still extremely loyal to Trump…..it’s gonna be a wild time between now and the 2024 GE.

Is it too much to ask that we eagerly pull for our preferred candidate throughout the primary process, and then circle the wagons for whoever the eventual nominee is? That makes the most sense to me, but I don't sense that it's the current feeling amongst the Right.

How we ended up at Team Trump vs Team Desantis, I'll never know. But make no mistake, that's amongst the top strategies for the Left. I can assure ~us~ that this is far from what both Trump and Desantis want for all of us. And this isn't necessarily directed at OP....more of a general thought.

How many people are in this cult? Half the country?

Not sure where Trump touched you but you need a to seek help and move on.

Remember, you're a mindless automaton with a character so weak that you're an easy subject for a cult of personality if you believe that it's stark conjecture at this point that DeSantis is anything more than a regional candidate who could as the standard bearer carry critical states outside of the South, e.g., Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, even Wisconsin, compared to someone who has already shown that he can.

But he's so gruff and rough around the edges.

It's just awful to even have to be reminded that he was ever in that lofty position - and in a just world with at least some ethics remaining, he would still be.

Is there a "cult" that has taken on the role of protecting us against such types.

I'm not sure it would make any difference whatsoever. Whatever Desantis says he's going to get the full propaganda blitz against him and half the overall populace believes whatever they're told to.

I want Trump/DeSantis in 2024 and DeSantis in 2028 and 2032.

It will probably take a dozen years to clean up the corrupted swamp creatures.

If Trump runs, Desantis isn’t running. I would vote for either man in a heartbeat. I also believe both men are on the same page policy wise.

Here is what I find exciting about the prospects of Desantis in office: Trump had a business background which was a positive and negative. The negative side of it was building a loyal, America First political organization from scratch in a short amount time (basically after he secured the nomination). That left Trump to rely on a lot of bad advice and hires from the GOPe. Desantis will walk into the White House with his own political organization from Florida. Desantis will have an organization already built, with loyalist that he can trust, to carry out his policies without interference. Trump was never afforded the opportunity to truly govern without constraints. Desantis will learn from Trump what DC is capable of doing.

That being said, I hope Trump wins in 2024 and takes a blowtorch to the DC establishment. That would leave Desantis 8 years to rebuild DC with America First patriots.

If RD is the one, I'll take him.

If Trump is the one, I'll take him.

Others to consider:

Pompeo

Cruz
