Aside from the vax what was the dumbest thing that you saw happen in the lockdowns?

I mean we all saw the floors with arrows, limited seating, playgrounds being shut down, the run on toilet paper, and many other stupid things. But I think the best one had to be the school district I was working in at the time took down the rims off basketball courts and took down the tennis nets to prevent anyone from using the facilities.

That can only be topped by the doctors or "experts" with masks on during zoom interviews with the local or national news. I see masks all over the place in Austin, the MH organization still wants us to wear masks with people in offices

Dumbest thing was people being arrested for being outside in a park. That’s literally the safest place you could be for an airborne virus.

Plexiglass dividers. Not like sealing off a previously open area between two things, I’m talking about like on a desk between two people, a “stand alone” deal.
Because I’m just thinking if that thing was able to make its way over from China and all its obstacles along the way, surely it can slip a couple extra feet around that divider. Lol

You mean besides taking both barrels to the economy and shutting down life, sitting at home and pretending everything will be just hunky dory?

People surfing, swimming, or walking alone on a beach being arrested.
People hiking or camping by themselves being harassed and arrested.

One of the dumbest things I saw, that still irks me, is the reduction in store hours.
Why isn't Walmart back to 24/7 operation? Is anyone back to 24/7?
They kept saying to social distance - why would you reduce store hours? The same number of people exist, they all have to eat etc, so you want to pack them into stores in a shorter amount of time than normal?
This never made sense.

A “Chinese” takeout place near here went full biohazard. Clear plastic ceiling to counter with duct tape, about a 12” square hole to push the food through, and that’s after they opened the front. For a while they closed the front door and operated through what looked like a small dog or cat door. The jokes write themselves.

In Arkansas, we had people counting the people to go into Walmart. Bentonville was all nuts they were sending folks home right and left. To this day you are only allowed to come into the office on a specific day. The claim now is for lower overhead costs an cleaning costs.

LINK
Clown World link showing actors in body bags and a few hospital employees in “mega PPE” while everyone else around them was walking around and filming (and laughing with t shirts and jeans on) and zero masks / PPE.

The State of Washington banned recreational fishing.
Think about that level of stupidity.

The price of a barrel of oil going negative. I cashed in on that one and made some good profits 2 years later.

They poured sand in skate parks in CA. And shut down beaches and parks. Arrested some guy for surfing by himself.
Actually the dumbest thing I personally saw was when they let restaurants open but only seat people outside, so they blocked off parking spots and made "parklets" out of pallets on busy streets, set up tables and heaters, and tented the whole thing with plastic sheeting. Probably less ventilation than they had in the actual restaurants.
