The majority have voted democrat in the past…they are the one group most affected by DEI

Because Asian cultures are obsessed with status and left wing politics are the caviar of American high status people.
Their parents aren't status obsessed because the other Asians are immigrant "outsiders" as well. The status effect isn't the same as a minority.
There's enough Asians now to create that obsessive Asian status culture, especially on the west coast.
The Japanese constantly talk about their status culture obsession.

My wife (no pics) and her entire family, aunts, uncles, grandparents were all Vietnamese refugees in the 70's.
They are all ardent Republicans.
As her uncles have repeated over and over throughout the years:
"One day you hear nonstop, 'it's just slight socialist ideals we want'. And then the next day you are constantly bailing out an old fishing boat that has been shot up and left to sink by Chinese pirates that have stolen all of your belongings as you have escaped the communist regime that was trying to imprison you because they think you are a threat."

Asians are prone to support authoritarianism
East Asia has been home to some of the most brutal regimes the past 100 years. Gun control, censorship, central planning are huge there. A few places like Japan, South Korea, Singapore are pretty economically free but that’s about it.
Indonesia, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, China all love them some authoritarian regimes. Don’t expect the immigrants coming here to be much different

'A lot' is a high percentage of the Asian population in that field compared to the percentage of whites, Mexicans and blacks in that field.
That does not mean the majority of Asians. Not even close.
