Simply start in on the next man up.
It isn’t trump they hate. Sensationalism drives their ratings.

Some of you must be young. They vilified Reagan and GW (both 2 termers) to the max at those times just like they are vilifying Trump to the max at this time. In 20 years that Republican POTUS will be vilified more than Trump. It’s not the man it’s the ideology.

Trump says it absolutely correctly - they aren’t coming after him, they are coming after us and he is just in the way. You gotta remember that. These people are at war with us and unfortunately too many of us don’t understand that which means our children and grandchildren will suffer for our comfortability. Just like our grandparents stood by while they tore down our public education system and the institute of marriage,

I’d say they look and “feel” just a tad different since the days of, say, Blue Dog Democrat popularity. Just a wee bit more woke now than they were back in the days of old.

The tactics used have become more extreme, sure. Nobody lawfared Nixon, for example. He didn't have anyone take a shot at him, but he was called a fascist and a Nazi and everything else they call Trump now.

And I do think they personally hate Trump worse. Sure. He trolls them and insults them to their face. Of course they have more personal feelings of animosity.

But this is the game they've played my whole life. It hasn't changed. Maybe become more extreme, but not changed.

The point being, they won't have to change anything when a new Republican gets elected. They'll keep doing the same stuff they're doing now.

What do you win?

When you embrace collectivism instead of individualism and you win an election, how is that any better than the other side's collectivism?

They will turn on each other... striving for dominance.

Trump didn't change their playbook. That's what they've done since at least Nixon. They've done it my whole life.

My wife and I have been taking turns sitting with my 94 year old mother-in-law this past week. She watches nothing but old TV shows.

It's shocking, from a retrospect perception, to see how many of those shows from the early 70s took cheap shots at Republicans, John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Richard Nixon, et al., calling out Republicans in general.

Maude was incessant about it but so were M.A.S.H., Taxi, Good Times, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, etc. I never watched TV back then but watching these reruns with my MiL has been an eye opener.

It's been going on for a long time.

Nixon was definitely the favorite target of the left in the 60s and 70s. You might say they had NDS.

Spot. On.
The corporations must be stripped of mass media. Free marketers be damned. Our founders were right not you. A democracy cannot exist without a free and independent press.

No doubt. I think this is where Vance is the better choice. I think he can handle these fools better than Rubio, not that Rubio can't handle them.

I've been saying this for a long time. The corrupt Political Establishment has tried everything possible to destroy Donald Trump for the last decade simply because he's a political outsider whom they cannot control. 2016 was supposed to have been a typical presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush, two Establishment hack. But Trump came along and screwed up their plans.

The corrupt, bought-and-paid-for corporate media is simply the communications wing of the corrupt political system.

Don't think Jimmy Kimmel. Think Disney/ABC. Whoopi Goldberg is just a well-paid little propaganda puppet. Again, you have to swim upstream and look at her corporate media overlords at Disney/ABC. Same thing with Fake Jake Tapper. His job is to give his corporate media overlords at CNN what they are expecting from him.

This dynamic really shouldn't be hard to figure out, but unfortunately we have a ton of manipulated and brainwashed dummies who still don't understand what is really going on.

@JesseBWatters
is spot on. The media isn’t just biased — they’re actively radicalizing their audience for profit.

I got news for you. All of them are doing that. The ones you like as well as the ones you dont. This is why I left TV news back in 2020. It finally dawned on me that all TV news is geared to do one thing... make you mad so you will tune in again tomorrow or next hour even. This doesnt just apply to news groups you hate. It applys to the ones you like as well.

You have to get some news info somewhere so you just have to be picky and on your toes.

If Vance or Rubio win in 28 they’ll just transfer the hate to them.

They’ll hate whoever their handlers tell them (and in some cases pay them) to hate.

They have all these idiots that only got elected and stayed elected because they stand up there and scream “I hate Trump”. It will be very interesting to see where their party goes.

Not me... I want him for there as long as possible. Something strange is happening to these idiots - my hope is it ends with spontaneous combustion.

What do you mean, they’re just going to brand the next (R)
candidate/president Hitler again. This isn’t new it’s just amplified. Reagan was called a fascist dictator, the Bush’s were megalomaniacs and fascist dictators. This isn’t specific to Trump he just didn’t roll over the way they did and of course the radicalization of the left has gone much further but it’s the same playbook, they don’t have another one.

They will hate the next guy. They've always called the GOP nominee a racist, Nazi, fascist, etc. Even the milquetoast conservatives like Romney and McCain. In 2028, the new Hitler will be Vance, Rubio, or someone else. They've been doing it for the 45+ years I've been able to vote.
