Feel better now?
Just looking to be offended, I see. Sort of like a liberal white woman who gets offended on behalf of a black person.

On the ground, that was surprising. That system has a laser designator for smooth tracking. The team responsible for that, on the most important launch in a long time, have got to be embarrassed that they screwed that up.
I had my phone in landscape and when the 1st stage went off screen I thought I had accidentally zoomed up and cut Artemis out of picture.

This whole thing became irrelevant the second they made it about race and sex.
They cannot help themselves.
Fatigue even with fricking NASA now.

like the countdown miles to moon and miles from earth graphic. Aside, the wacky flat earthers and never been to moon crowd will point out this model image and scream "how would they get a camera out there?!!!"

SpaceX could certainly teach NASA a thing or two about capturing these pivotal moments and insane views on 4k live stream. SpaceX broadcasts are also infinitely better at the computer visuals to go along with the real video stream
That being said, this is a proud day for Americans and should be celebrated. If you take a moment to step back and think about what is *actually* happening, especially while the rest of the world watches American greatness in action, it's sobering. Thinking of the things this will lead to in mine or my sons' lifetime
I'm ready for Artemis 3 to actually touch down on the moon and officially begin our colonization of another planet

These DEI stunts should get them defunded. I bet Trump is fricking pissed.

To the sufferers of TDS who also subscribe to the theory that the moon landing was fake, are you prepared to say Trump was the first president to finally land man on the moon, or is their contingency spin prepared for that beautiful moment scheduled for 2028?

Heading to the beach now with dinner.
We were gonna eat dinner on the waterfront in Sebastian, but it was jam packed. We picked up some chips and salsa and went to a waterfront park by the Wabasso bridge.

They're all human and NOT the first
These DEI try-hards have to make everything about what it isn't...
It was the first person with six toes...the first person with a vasectomy...the first person who failed algebra their sophomore year.
The first person was long ago

Oh oh....I might start something there with moon landing deniers.
I've seen very compelling evidence both ways. But I choose to believe that we actually went.
We were in the middle of both the Cold War and the "space race" against Russia and they were watching our every move, every step of the way. If we faked it, they'd have known and put us on blast for it. They watched it the whole way and didn't deny that we pulled it off.
Maybe it's sad that I trust the reaction of the Soviet Russians more than I trust the word of the US Government. But that's a debate for another thread.

Thanks for sharing Jax tiger. That's pretty cool. I'm one of the older ones on here that can remember Neil Armstrong and buzz Aldrin stepping on the moon back in 1969. Watching that with my parents to me, it's cool that we're heading back. This is basically the repeat of the Apollo 8 who went on the dark side of the Moon and back then it was a big deal because we lost communication till they were able to come around the other side. I remember that on Christmas Eve like it was yesterday. Thanks for the pics man. Cool

The NY Times is creating (hopefully they don't actually believe their BS) and carrying this as a DEI-Woke bullshite story, instead of a prep for the moon landing. Trust me. There was NEVER such bullshite associated with the original moon launches.

Looks as if we're still using 60's era camera work
They just dusted off the old equipment from the first staged moon landing
Sorry I couldn’t help it

Those are pretty good, our view was little more north. Had some cloud cover, so only got to see the initial part of the take off. Beach was packed.

NASA is fraught with DEI. It will be a big challenge for Isaacman to make a course correction.
NASA appeals to becoming more like the Apollo days. Great. But Apollo had a bigger budget, minimal international participation, and was a mostly white, male workforce.

Yeah, godspeed!
It's ridiculous that we are still wasting tax dollars on NASA when we have Elon Musk available to accomplish the same goals, better and cheaper!!!

Hell, the Challenger was a diverse crew and no one cared about it. Things have changed so much.
