Y’all need to learn to pick your battles.

Is the bump stock battle really where you want to dig a trench?

Honestly, there are many more bigger issues looming with regards to 2nd Amendment.

it's a hard thing for this board to admit the the GOP and Trump passed this ban . 8 years a sky screaming about Obama and gun rights and a GOP controlled house and senate and Presidency passed a gun right's issue. someone will be along shortly to call me prog filth for stating the truth.

Everything should be a battle. Our Second Amendment rights need to be restricted less, not more. I don't give a frick how many people use something or how big of a deal Floating Change Up thinks bump stocks are.

House is controlled by the Democrats.

Well, you'd have to start by stating the truth.

However, i disagree with this ban. Still love Trump though. Best President of my lifetime.

Obama was fantastic for gun rights. The harder he pushed, the harder we pushed back.

The things suck and jam your rifle. There is a reason he had so many damn rifles up there. Because they are not made for a cheap accessory.

That being said, this wasn’t the right call.

Okay then, what currently regulated/banned aspects of the Second Amendment rights are Trump and the GOP working to get back?

Nobody cares about your faux outrage.

All this law means is that people with bump stocks will not be taking them to the range anymore.

They will stay locked up in the safe, until the law changes or Civil War 2.0 breaks out.

The bump stock hysteria is a great example of Russian propaganda playing both sides to create division.

Um yeah, I'm a gun guy and have zero fricks about bump stocks. Never owned one, never planned to own one.

Where's the evidence that "giving in" on something that may seem insignificant appeases those who want to push further to back off on their further desires to limit individual freedoms even a little bit? Is there some sort of precedent you can point to that says this may be a reasonable strategy?

I'm not a fan of the ban at all, and will neither confirm nor deny that I own one of these items. However I will say that in my opinion they are really only good for mag dumps and burning out your barrel. The only practical application I see for then is looking cool as frick while wasting ammo.

Cool. What other freedoms should we restrict because it only affects a small number of people?
Automatic weapons. Hand grenades. Mustard gas. Weaponized anthrax.

Gun regulation is a left wing Democrat initiative. Blaming Trump is like blaming a Republican for "raising your taxes" by 2% when Dems wanted to raise them 40%.

Further, or where they are now?

Can someone tell me the acceptable rate of fire for a semi-automatic firearm?
I've emptied my AR's 30 round mag in less than 12 seconds.

But that was before my boat turned over in Lake Rosemound and my rifle sank to the bottom of the lake....

You should vote for the Justice Democrats’ candidate then.

I think more people have them than you think...however, like my friend discovered after purchasing one, they suck. As my friend told me, it was impossible to hit anything with any level of accuracy.

My friend simply said he wasted money on it. I am blessed to have friends that can give me good advice on such matters.

agreed. I have 21 center fire rifles and 7 hand guns, and 9 shotguns. Never had a desire for a bump stock.

What? No.

If Republicans raise my taxes, they're to blame. They don't get to pretend it's the Democrats because they would have done more.
