Unless they destroy their previously BATFE approved property.

Can someone tell me the acceptable rate of fire for a semi-automatic firearm? A number would be great.

It’s really hard to get worked up over bump stock bans

The things are rarely used or owned by gun people

There are 500,000 of them in circulation.

The idea is they allow the gun to fire too fast. Can someone give me a number for too fast? Or are we just going along with a further restriction on our freedom due to blind emotion?

Makes you wonder why so many people demanded they be banned doesn’t it?

Should the gov't be able to make them illegal without compensation? I think they cost around $300 each.

Shall not be infringed! What part of that is so hard to understand? Don't like it? There's a process to change it, email your representative.

500,000 of a 325 million population is a rounding error to 0

True, but this is more incremental demonization of inanimate objects. The perp in Vegas was responsible, not the bump stock.

Dude was a multi-millionaire and clearly planned this over a long period of time. He would have gotten what he needed and did what he wanted to do without a bump stock.

So, the next time a cat does it and happens have a weapon with a foregrip, a collapsible stock or a red dot sight? They'll push to ban those accessories, too.

Again, this functionality can be replicated by a shoelace, a rubber band or even training your finger to do it. So, while it is "hard to get worked up" about it, we should do so all the same.

I love what Trump has done overall but this is not something I'm a fan of.

Cool. What other freedoms should we restrict because it only affects a small number of people?

Exactly.

And again, no one has or can define a rate of fire that is too fast. This nothing more than a ‘We have to do something’ exercise.

The freedom to own a rocket launcher and sarin. I cannot count the times I have been dissatisfied with my congressman over this infringement.

I think the ban is bullshite, but this isn’t the hill I want to die on right now.

What I really want is a full repeal of the 1938 FFA.
