You could go on any street corner in any major city, grab a random people who are bopping around on a Friday evening, ask them a dozen common knowledge questions and most of them wouldn't get 50% of the questions correct.

That's a weird thing because I would think with the greatest amount of info in the world at your fingertips that everyone would be well-informed about everything. But, if you're staring at Instagram, Tik Tok, and Facebook all day, you may end up retarded.

Our problems are demographics
Most of Europe is 85% + Europeans so they have no excuse.
If America was still 85% European ancestry we would be solid red in almost every state

Even on the smallest local level. We had a half cent sales tax renewal for parks and rec that was rejected. The leading reason was people are tired of high gas prices and higher insurance premiums.
Now the local park lacks funding and they still can’t afford insurance or gas
