It doesn't. But if you are able to make the company money, then you become indispensable. If your skills make you profitable, then you become desirable to many.

How short sided of you. This is the problem with leftists. You don't understand how things react. I gave you the construction industry example above. $15 for that burger flipper will increase ALL COSTS for any industry that relies on skilled/unskilled labor. Go back and read that post again and learn something.

I was watching an interview on CNBC from some guy who said essentially that the US government could print enough money to give everyone in the country a million dollars and the truth is, that nobody knows what would happen to our economy if that happened.

Hell, we just committed to give other countries billions of free money. Just ridiculous the amount going out when we have issues that need to be dealt with here.

It's remarkable how the mind of a leftist is no different than that of a 7 year old girl.

"The manager is mean bc he wants me to do stuff."

"If we just give poor people more money than they will be happy!!"

But they also don’t have to do shite work.

So unless the stress is so much more, I can See lots of people preferring not to scrub toilets.

None of these people have high stakes jobs.

Do you think the janitor has more or less stress than the asst. manager? Again, you aren't even talking reality in your posts it's. "well i wouldn't care if that was me", no one cares about your idiotic thoughts or opinions on things. We are discussing facts, not some leftist opinion who simply wants to be paid $15 to flip burgers and doesn't know or care how that affects the economy. If you don't know, nor care about such things, then maybe having this discussion is not suitable for you?

And their output is often non-critical. Therefore, they can be replaced easily with someone else with no skills. Therefore, they can also seek jobs other places that require no skills.
If someone works their way up from minimum wage ($7.50/hr) and makes $15/hr now as asst. manager, is it fair now to bump those who did not earn their way to $15/hr? I would say that asst. manager will either take his skills where they are compensated, or give up and become the janitor because their output doesn't drive profits.

Have you ever had a job before? Because you post as if your only life experience is either as a "student" or sitting at home.

Good thing there are other jobs than janitor eh?

So what’s stopping the people who DO have high stakes jobs that currently make $15 an hour from saying “frick this shite” and picking up an easier job for the same pay?

Then instead of increasing the minimum wage to 15 an hour, we should increase employee satisfaction. win win.

Who are they?

“Teachers”

Teachers go to college, get a degree and still choose to teach. Do you know how much a Waffle House manager makes? Yet how many teachers quit to work their way up the Waffle House chain?

Interesting, considering teachers have tenure and become immune from termination if they work in public education. I'd also wager teacher benefits are higher than waffle house manager. Hours are also better, and their $/hr are likely higher considering teachers don't work 3-4 months out of the year. Not to mention the perk of not having to work with the general public, as opposed to waffle house.

If you’re job really is high stakes maybe you should make more than 31k a year (if you don’t take a vacation)

So are you purposefully ignoring everything we tell you, when we say wages will be artificially increased across the board? Or is this inconvenient for you.

I’m saying that they won’t increase as much as you’re acting like they will and that it won’t wreck our economy.

Public ed teachers/professors. The comparison was to someone managing a waffle house. I contend working 7-4 is better than the 8pm -5 am shift. Also, waffle house managers don't have months off. And teachers do not have to interact with the waffle house crowd daily.
