Talked with a baw at the bar earlier who could get me a “ghost” AR, meaning no serial number, that he builds himself legally for $1200.

I don't know the importance of having a rifle w/o a serial number, but if that's your thing, whatever.. but you can buy a nice used Colt AR for 1400 probably, and it's always gonna keep that value.

They’re not even in our neighborhoods and they aren’t even armed! Y’all are the ones with the weaponry!

What are you scared of? What has you so scared when you have all the power?

frick letting them get to your home. Pistols and familiarity with your layout should win there. Stopping them 100 yards from my house is my next purchase

When a shotgun or pistol are needed, they have already gotten too close, but that can happen.
That's why you need something for every situation.

Then they don't have to worry about getting shot do they?
As long as they stay away, everybody will be fine. It shouldn't worry anybody what I have at my house, right?

Yeah, a shotgun seems practical for home defense. Doesn’t cost much.

Shotguns are pretty shitty for home defense

Low capacity. When you step up to stopping a human buckshot it will travel and not tumble through anything indiscriminately. Louder and more disorienting than pretty much anything and zero ability to slap any type of beneficial gear or suppressor on it.

Citizens don’t need guns....that’s what the police are for!! They will protect us!

I thought my one AR was sufficient...I’m at least doubling down on my arsenal and getting the wifey trained up.

I prefer the H&K MP5 for home defense.

I would too but don’t have 3k to drop on a 9mm.

I do not believe "an AR" belongs in every home. No question about it........

SEVERAL AR's belong in every home, with everyone well practiced with their functions.

I wouldn't use buckshot for those same reasons, but bird shot can do a lot of damage at close range without the collateral damage.

Just curious, why is a suppressor necessary for a home defense weapon?
