re: Anyone else actually hope we lose midterms?

Like someone said the other day every midterm elections we always hear this is for the heartbeat of America Etcetera etcetera... But this time The Democrats will not hesitate for one solitary moment to jail all of MAGA and Trump and his family.

Why in the world would you hope we lose? If you think losing will teach the GOP establishment a lesson.... Think again.... It's what they want so Frick them.

Yeah you believe Joe was lucid and Kamala was a great choice though so….

I see the mid terms as a bloodbath for Republicans.

My old lady is a cashier at the grocery store. They are sending people home because sales and business is so slow. People can't even afford food.
The customer complaints on prices are endless. Gas too.

While voting Democrat won't change things, the mentality of people will be: "this sucks, we want something else."

Biden will be forgotten.

Things were actually slowly going in that direction but then the Supreme Court ruled against campaign restrictions and limits to advertising in their Citizens United ruling, which I think is a damn shame.

SCOTUS two worst ruling in the past few years was striking down common sense campaign limits and contributions as well as saying Gerrymandering is not their concern. (This weeks ruling is different, it was just touching up the racial aspect, not the issue of gerrymandering as a whole).

Now we end up having one party districts and rich people's candidates (or left wing "group" candidates, like the candidates of a minority group or the teachers unions, etc.) and no wonder nothing ever gets done, any compromise is seen as bending the knee and betrayal.
