No. I mean what the frick would we develop over an A-Bomb. The only possible non-nuclear technology I can think of is the rail gun, but I don't think those have been properly installed on any ship in the navy.

Admittedly, I was thinking the same thing after hearing Trump's statement. Maybe we have perfected advanced particle beam/laser technology? Who needs to intercept an ICBM with a missile when you have technology working at the speed of light? Total game changer.
