Anti-American sentiment surging in India. Has to do with us sitting on AZ vaccine

America has 150 million doses of fda-unapproved AZ vaccine we do not need sitting in warehouses.
For some reason, we aren’t sending them to India
Foreign policy folks and epidemiologists are starting to get frustrated
In a country with more than a billion people, a virus that is raging out of control increases the chances of a particularly bad variant emerging.
Why aren’t we sending unused vaccines to India?
They gave us stuff, seems like the right thing to do is help an ally in need

We’re sitting on 100M doses of AstraZeneca that we can’t use & that’s going bad, which should have been sent to India many weeks ago. They have every right to their rage. I’m fuming, too.
