Do you remember how this board jizzed all over themselves when she was nominated?
Hell, many wanted her nominated for the previous opening.
She's not perfect, but she did move the court significantly to the right. That's objectively true considering who she replaced. She helped overturn Roe vs Wade for goodness sakes.
Would a Thomas or Alito been better, sure but there are never any guarantees and you can't ignore the politics of it, it needed to be a woman and this was probably the best it could be.

Conservatives should stop fixating on qualifications and law degrees when choosing Supreme Court justices. Instead, focus on appointing small-government advocates whose stances on major, common-sense issues are clear. After watching the Brown confirmation hearing, I’m convinced that having a law degree isn’t the most important factor. What we really need are smart, practical thinkers with well-known principles before they even step onto the bench.

And there's another one.
Remember how much we loved him when he was fricking Obama up the arse by not allowing him to fill vacant SCOTUS seats? Remember how we were pointing and laughing and flinging poo at all the liberals?
Yeah, good times.
Mitch McConnell dedicated his career to getting a conservative majority on the Supreme Court after what Ted Kennedy did to Robert Bork. And he succeeded. fricking ingrates.

Vote Counts:
YEAs52
NAYs
48
Murkowski (R-AK), Yea
Ernst (R-IA), Yea
Loeffler (R-GA), Yea
McSally (R-AZ), Yea
A non-female justice would have lost those 4.
We just haven't produced a candidate as qualified who is also female.
People are free to pick others who could have been better but the choices were basically
Barbara Lagoa
Allison Eid
Bridget Bade - Up Held Banning Bible Studies in Cali during Covid
Joan Larsen

MAGA fools, pure and simple. No one was complaining when she was voting for Presidential immunity last year.

ACB is what you get when you send a woman to do a man’s job.

Uptown I believe. But I s Metairie not considered part of the metropolitan area of New Orleans anymore?
She was born in NO but then her family moved to Metairie. Looks like Old Metairie bc she went to St. Catherine of Siena before Dominican.
Metairie has never been considered urban, especially not Old Metairie.

Completely agreed but there are several on this board with TDS in reverse.

She turned Swamper....or, she always was.

You are aware that SCOTUS justices require Senate confirmation and Trump can't simply "install" them.
Right?
You are aware that Trump, and only Trump is the one who nominated her, right? He has the final decision, not turtle. ACB was served up to him solely based on two things; 1. her stand on abortions and 2. her youth (guaranteeing a long presence on the bench).
For all of the "orange man bad" crowd, there is an equal amount of "orange man can do no bad" crowd.

Completely incorrect. The Senate has the final decision.

She is chicken crap. The libs threatened her and she instantly became a leftie. If she had an ounce of integrity she would resign. I hope God removes half the court by any means He chooses.

Yes, I was also fooled. She's a bigger dupe than Roberts. I can't even stand to look at her now. She's so anti American.

If it’s in the metropolitan area then it’s urban. Metairie is definitely inside the metropolitan area
