These kind of response is always make me feel a little more Vindicated because you don't offer any substance.

You offer nothing of substance, yet expect substance in return?

the long term prognosis of many of the policies you support have been demonstrated ad naseum on the global scale and the results seem very suboptimal most of the time

*hijack*

Tbird, have you spoken with your dad since his Presidential cameo appearance on national TV last night? If so, what did he say about the experience? Did Trump point right at him and that's why your dad gave the two thumbs up?

*end hijack*

We should do that with every socioeconomic group.

How do you think we should do this?

This honestly deserves its own thread.

Wouldn't you say that the better education, Medical Care, and general well-being of the underclass might make them rise a bit and need the service is less over time?

You keep saying leftist ideology this point of you like it's somehow flawed but the reality of the situation is conservative think very short-term and if it's not working immediately they don't see the benefit.

did you literally read what i wrote, or just the subject/title?

You must be thinking of someone else. I didn't say anything about "food deserts".

Why should the educated upper class decrease their population. We should be breeding like rabbits.

in this case, that assumption is that by giving more access to the population, the population will not use the goods/services more.

This is not the assumption with universal healthcare. It still saves money, for better outcomes.

increasing government services decrease the underclass culture?

Most likely it will increase it. When entitlements are not available, it forces people to make better decisions because their survival depends on it. When you provide basic services, it subsidizes bad decision making by providing basic needs allowing what income they do have to be spent on things like cigarettes, drugs, etc.

What has the government EVER done cheaper or better than the private sector?

If robotics is going to take most low skill, lower wage jobs, where does the money come from to pay those people not to work?

Exactly. That is my point. Thanks for coming around.

Honestly I cannot wait for full automation of almost everything. We should just be learning all day and experiencing and not even working at all. I know that sounds crazy now and no one in my lifetime will ever see that day but people will eventually if we live long enough.

Just through common sense encouragement. It seems to be working in Europe pretty well.

To be honest I don't know how to make that happen neither does anyone else on this board but it's worth a conversation.
