Alex Jones is a loon, but this is interesting. I have no problem with it.
Spain should've let the US use the NATO base located in Spain.
Just sayin...... lol

Alex needs clicks, and he sees the easiest way to do that is to turn against Trump.
Notice that it all started when he realized that Elon was not defending Alex to help him out, but rather to protect rights on X?
Alex is bitter, and legal bills and judgments are killing him financially.

Is there anything that isn’t Trump’s fault? It’s so tiresome.

Waiting for Spain to be labeled as nazis for deporting people.

Anything that isn't his fault is the Jews.
And then if that fails just blame Putin.

Do you disagree with his take on what is happening in Spain?
I haven’t looked into the Spanish situation myself, but it seems plausible that what he’s suggesting could be true based on the legislation he cites.
I flat out don’t understand our foreign policy strategy currently relative to what I thought he wanted in the general election.

I didn't realize the US Congress had the power to determine the borders of other countries simply by line-items in a budget.

I'm convinced that it was 100% a coordinated invasion by the Moroccan government. I'm sure our intelligence agencies at minimum knew it was happening, but I doubt Trump personally signed off on it.

I mean it's kind of a good point. You want to grandstand and not let us use your air bases to support an ally defend their disputed territory and call us all colonizers. Meanwhile, you actually own colonial territories in a neighboring country, and rely on us to protect it for you.

I hope the Muslims continue to invade Spain and give the Socialists there exactly what they voted for.

Alex has become a joke. It’s sad. But I am in for NO FORIGN AID.

I wouldn't mind us turning on the spigot, would be an example for the rest of the euro treaty breaking assholes

I'm wondering why Jones didn't highlight the very next sentence in the committee notes that says the committee encourages Spain and Morocco to reach a diplomatic agreement.
It kind of goes against the claim that the US sponsored the invasion, doesn't it?
This is also after just accepting that the highlighted sentence acknowledging that the disputed Spanish-owned cities are in Moroccan territory somehow means that the US is sponsoring, or even just in agreement with, an invasion.
There is literally nothing in the provided text to suggest the US was behind the invasion, so I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that it was "plausible" that the US provided material support for it.
You don't find it weird that this bill provides money for the invasion yet neither Jones nor Massie included the text that would supposedly support their claim?
You think an unwritten "wink and a nod" is justifiable reason to blame the US for the actions of muslims?
No proof, just "trust me, man. The words aren't there, but I know what it really means. You'll see the invisible meaning too if you hate the same people I do." Sadly, that's all it takes for many conservatives these days.

I don't remember Trump ever mentioning the Spain/Morocco territorial dispute during his campaign. You are trying to tie Trump to this invasion simply because the House allocated funds to Morocco.
How exactly does an invasion by muslims into a Spanish city in Morocco and the House voting on a spending bill mean that Trump is backtracking on his foreign policies from the campaign?
I need actual words and actions from Trump that support a shift in narrative concerning this specific incident. Generalities and inferences don't apply. How does this muslim invasion into Spanish cities explicitly contradict Trump's foreign policy objectives mentioned in the campaign?
Did he promise to protect the Spanish homeland? Did he promise an end to mass migration in foreign countries?
It's a real stretch to tie this to Trump.

Encouraging and requiring are two entirely different things diplomatically.

I’m not stating we did.
But it happening doesn’t require us to sponsor it directly, only make clear we aren’t going to stop it.
I am saying this is a weird thing to have happen immediately after the Israel-Spain spat and now all the sudden we pass something like this.

We explicitly state that it’s Moroccan territory being occupied.
That’s diplomatic cover for whatever Morocco wants to do to recover it, just like it was when our ambassador told Israel they had a right to all the lands promised them in the Bible. That’s how diplomatic statements work going back to the British empire.
The Korean War was fought in part because we left them out of a statement outlining which nations were within our core defense perimeter at the time.
quote:
In a January 12, 1950 speech at the National Press Club, U.S. Secretary of State Dean Acheson publicly outlined America’s “defensive perimeter” in the Pacific. It ran from the Aleutian Islands through Japan and the Ryukyu Islands (including Okinawa) to the Philippines. South Korea (and Taiwan/Formosa) were not included.
Same thing happened prior to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait when we made a statement that we weren’t interested in the dispute:
quote:
April Glaspie meeting (July 25, 1990): The U.S. Ambassador to Iraq met with Saddam Hussein. According to the Iraqi transcript (which the State Department did not fully dispute at the time), Glaspie said: “We have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with Kuwait.” She referenced longstanding U.S. policy (dating to the 1960s) that the issue “is not associated with America” and noted that Secretary of State James Baker had directed spokesmen to emphasize this.
Maybe we didn’t intend it to be inviting Morocco to take action but it sure reads like we didn’t care or weren’t concerned if it did and we gave them money right afterwards so it’s certainly a fair question as to what the hell we are trying to do over there.
quote:

I’m broadly stating I have no idea what the Trump administration is doing globally right now.
What’s the plan with NATO?
Are we serious about ending the Ukrainian conflict?
Are we serious about staying involved in Iran? What will that entail?
Are we going to stay interventionist or spend the last two years focused domestically?
For the amount of air our US foreign policy has sucked out of the domestic agenda I don’t know what their intent is currently and outside of Venezuela don’t see a lot of ROI for it currently given what it’s cost the AF/MAGA movement in terms of progress on other fronts.

I don't blame Trump, but it's not difficult to see what dots Jones is attempting to connect.
But, if the US government's support for Morocco to "reclaim" that land....
Well, maybe things would've been different if the Spanish Socialist ruler had been more helpful.
Like or not, that's the way of the world.
