So Dabo Swinney is a symbol of white privilege? If anyone knows anything about Dabo Swinney’s background, they would know this is utterly absurd.

Swinney grew up in a broken family and lived in extreme poverty for many of his formative years. Indeed Dabo and his mom were homeless for a time. A marginal athlete, Swinney walked-on at the U-of-A yet earned a scholarship and became a special teams starter because of pure grit. Even Swinney’s rise to the top of the college football ranks was because Swinney fought, clawed and scratched for every coaching position that came his way.

Furthermore, Swinney is a humble man who gives all the credit for his success as a coach to his faith and the blessings of God. This is shameful hit piece on Swinney and worse, a disparaging attack on all faithful Christians, regardless of race.

And guess what? This race agitating piece was written by a pasty white boy. In fact, many of the top race agitators at al.com are all white people. If Joseph Goodman and these other race agitators at al.com feel so strongly about white privilege, they should resign their position so an appropriately aggrieved minority can take their place.
