ATC here,
I'm not about to go read this whole thread but...
The crap about ATSAP being an "immunity program" is flat out bad reporting and clickbait. It is probably one of the best things that NATCA and the FAA have put out in terms of identifying safety issues. Submitting an ATSAP is by no means a get out of jail free card and reporting it as such is irresponsible.

Horse shite!
I reject the reality proposed by some of the most disciplined and intelligent people on earth, and instead I choose to blame Trump like all the intellectual titans on Facebook!

The anticipated 67 lawsuits 'depositions will discover who did/didn't do what when. With all that is out there re possible fault, plaintiff attys are chomping at the bits to start filing for depositions.

I did not know him personally. Since you ask, I did talk to him once when he walked into the Wendys at which I worked when I was 16.
You make a doubtful argument, that we must have a personal relationship with a notorious person in order to judge him. And you make this implication on a message board full of posters with opinions about Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and hordes of other people we’ve never met.

The air traffic controller on the DC recording was a white male.

Who was the other one that would have made for the normal two covering that area at that time?

Rather than being the main instigators of an accident, operators tend to be the inheritors of system defects created by poor design, incorrect installation, faulty maintenance and bad management decisions. Their part is usually that of adding the final garnish to a lethal brew whose ingredients have already been long in the cooking.? James Reason

I’ve listened to the audio. I don’t think the controller did anything wrong. This crash is pretty much solely on the helicopter pilot fricking up.
Former ATCs and professors said numerous mistakes were made by the ATC. One guy said he stopped counting at 6 errors.

Data from the jet’s flight recorder showed its altitude as 325 feet (99 meters), plus or minus 25 feet (7.6 meters), when the crash happened Wednesday night, National Transportation Safety Board officials told reporters. Data in the control tower, though, showed the Black Hawk helicopter at 200 feet (61 meters) at the time.
Do the videos clearly show the Blackhawk slamming into the plane when the plane was at 325 ft. How did the tower show the chopper at 200.
Something is fishy there. That’s why it’s been crickets.

It looked intentional but we will never know since her social media posts were scrubbed. Could have been a suicide.

Liberal policies lead to death, chaos, and destruction.

Not sure, but appears to have been the case.

Air traffic controllers say an FAA “immunity program” fails to hold people accountable for their mistakes, even with deadly consequences.

The FAA was warned in a 2023 report that air traffic controllers were increasingly making last minute flight adjustments to deal with traffic and shortages of controllers in a trend that raised safety concerns. The safety expert report that warned America’s air traffic control system is suffering from quality-control issues and staffing shortages that put safety at risk.
