Just curious who your pick for President would be?

After you have enough balls to tell us who you would like to be president, I would then like to know what your candidate would do to help with inflation.

I’ll hang up and listen. I’ll be on hold a while though because you will not be able to answer my simple questions.

Thanks

Trump’s out of control spending via many Socialist stimulus programs and PPE programs got all this inflation started Biden only continued it. Trump never has been and never will be a fiscal conservative. He likes to spend and then use bankruptcy to absolve debts only that doesn’t work in a government structure.

Image thinking two cognitively declining 80 year olds are the answer to our vast problems. Both of who contributed to our current problems. Wow.

An unprecedented worldwide pandemic is what sparked the inflation to which you refer. Opinions are great, and certainly welcome….. but it’s simply a matter of basic logic that they should be offered and discussed in an honest way. What you appear to be doing there is merely griping about Trump, which we’re already plenty aware of your loathing of DT. No need to drive that home even further.

I've had similar thoughts when a democrat president is elected except I tell myself that it can't get THAT bad and to just go about my normal, everyday life. But this one has gotten THAT bad! I can't think of one exceptional accomplishment of this administration. What comes out of the WH these days leaves me and many others scratching our heads.

I agree Trump probably won’t do much about the economy. He isn’t the type to cut spending. More importantly, I think the Fed is facing an impossible situation that is pretty much to choose between deflationary collapse or hyperinflation.

Deflation is highly unlikely no matter what the next president does. The damage is done.

But things will improve pretty much across the board and the democrats and the complicit media will gaslight their believers into thinking it just took Biden’s policies that long to take effect. You see it every time a Republican is in the Oval Office.

gripe is more about how too many Americans believe in Political Saviors and there's no such thing as a political savior. Cost of living is jacked up in every OCED/first world country on earth. The brightest political minds and policymakers in nerd countries like Japan and China and Germany and the Scandanavian ones can't figure it out, but somehow Donald frigging Trump is going to come in and make the cost of everything great again.

Well the dumbest mind on earth came up with the current policy.

Let's think on it...

The country is coming out of covid. There is a huge pent up demand for things. Because of policies during covid, people have money they are willing to spend. You know there is going to be inflation so what do you do? Yes, you pass a 1.7 trillion dollar spending plan to pour gasoline on the fire. The American rescue plan was nothing but fire and obviously a reward for people who got him elected.

Does a potato stop there? No! He passes a 1 trillion dollar additional bill. Genius.

Everyone knew they're was going to be short term inflation after covid. But these hurt the country.

I mean opening the border might have been slightly expected, but biden does stupid with gusts. Instead of allowing in people we need our want in an orderly fashion, he allows literally every moron and criminal in who can get here as well. Likely to the tune of 2.5 million young men a year. Ok not all young men, but the demographics are heavily weighted towards that. Having 7.5 or more million people will cause increased cost of living in a lot of places as well. And biden gives them all free shite.

Not to mention the foreign policy disasters he had had from the middle east to Ukraine to his spectacular failure in Afghanistan. Let me ask a series question. Had he made a single good foreign policy decision?

In a bigger sense, not just foreign policy but anywhere, what decision had he made that is correct?

Do you honestly think any of those spending bills were a good idea at the time? Of course not. Do you think his foreign policy is good? Only if you are a moron. Do you think his domestic energy policy is good? Do you think his border policy is good?

Only if you are a potato. How about the weaponization of the doj and the obvious ridiculous unequal justice system?

I mean lord the gibberish you have posted so far is a total waste of time. Does anyone think you can go back to the old prices? Not unless you have a disaster. But you can actually adopt policies to curb inflation. This perhaps allowing wages to grow faster than inflation like we saw not that long ago.

So there is good policy and there is bad policy. I predicted everything that was going to happen if biden got in office. Higher energy prices. High inflation. Increase in crime. Border wide open. Disasters in the middle east and Ukraine. Unequal justice. I mean he literally said what he was going to do and one had to be a moron not to know the implications.

So it's not that trump is going to make everything all unicorns and rainbows. As Obama said, never underestimate bidens ability to frick everything up. And he really has. What we hope is instead of policy ignoring reality, he actually adopted policy based on reality instead of ideals.

Will that be a magic bullet to make the world back to 2019 when there were no wars, prices were good and border was closed and crime was good? Nope. But it will be a start.

It was the response to the pandemic that did this. Not the pandemic itself.

Correct, the pandemic response was due directly to the pandemic. No pandemic, no need for pandemic response.

But you’re not going down the road of using perfect hindsight to pick apart the decisions that had to be made in the moment, under the circumstances of that specific time, not what we’ve used past events and experience and things learned from literal history, are you? I’m not geared to take that notoriously looked down upon approach.

You can say this about the first few months or even the first year. But after that we knew a lot of the stuff we were doing was a fools errand and digging ourselves a massive hole that would do irreparable harm.

I'm a Trump supporter, but I think some of the less informed voters might have unrealistic expectations for what he'll be able to do. For instance, interest rates will remain high regardless of what the Fed does. It's a demography issue, not a political issue. Also, we're in the midst of a massive industrial build-out, which is inherently inflationary. If he does nothing but close the border and start massive deportations, I'll be happy.

Imagine thinking that in the year 2024, 77 years old is considered very old when people are living to high 80s / 90s

In other words, Joe Biden is not too old to be president.. he just has neurological issues which Trump does not have yet

Believe it or not, people age different. Also, people who have never done drugs or sipped a drop of alcohol before their life usually live and think longer than those that used to do those things and who are pumped up with meth all day.
