Meh, just another actor that thinks he can get his absolution from man, and not God

Even woman beating shitbags deserve a shot at redemption through Christ.

And here’s why the movie will get cancelled.

Nice. Teach me about praying to mortal dead people for intercession and the scriptural references for doing such a thing.

You're not off to a good start. In Nostra Aetate the Church explicitly rejects replacement theology.
Catechism 121 rejects it as well.

I am a nondenominational dispensationalist now. Rightly dividing the word of God.
So 2000ish year old Catholicism is more BS than a denomination invented by John Darby in the 1800s, and which is almost universally considered a herecy amongst Catholics and Protestants alike?

but Catholicism doesn't teach that gospel message.
Have you ever been to a Catholic Mass? Never mind, I know you haven't because if you had you would know that during every Mass the Gospel is read and the Priest then gives his Homily based on the reading.
So to say Catholicism doesn't teach the gospel is you get being ignorant.
Today, as every day, there will be 3 reading,
1st is Corinthians 1:17-25
2nd Is Psalms 33:1-2, 10-11
3rd is the Gospel of Matthew 25:1-13

Catholics all around the world will be standing during this reading, making the sign of the cross on our forehead, lips, and heart,- as we are asking that the Word of God to pierce our mind, lips, and hearts.
For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart’ (Hebrews 4:12).
But yeah, Catholics do not teach the Gospel. SMH
We allow the Gospels to teach us.
Everything we do in Mass is from Scripture.

And he may agree with you but it appears he has made a true conversion.
Here is the link to the youtube: Shia LaBeouf interview
Its a good watch if you are a waning Catholic or even interested Catholic - Labeouf admits he was in a bad place but has found the Mass and Prayer.
Edit: I don't expect the "faith alone" protestants to watch it or even understand any of it without the Grace from God.

Another ex-girlfriend was listed in the lawsuit and also claimed LaBeouf was abusive toward her.
It's weird how Hollywood will cancel some actors of this, but not if you are (D)ifferent enough. You would think becoming Catholic would be the last straw for liberals.

In the spirit of the conversation in this thread, here's a good video to further the chat:
Know Your Enemy -(Part 23 - Roman Catholicism)
If still curious and not offended:
Know Your Enemy - (Part 24 - Catholic Symbols)
Know Your Enemy - (Part 25 - Catholic Symbols continued)
If still curious, I recommend the whole series.

Good for him. I never fault anyone for finding their way back to God.

The people on this board are so weird.
Actor converts to Christianity, and presumably finds Christ in his life.
"That's not the right one."

All religions are largely made up. You have to search to find the spiritual gold at the heart of all of them.

Not praying to them, asking for intercession, no different than asking someone to pray for you just asking someone who is closer to God. You know like Jesus did during the transfiguration with Moses and Elijah.
Rev 8:4
quote:
4 The smoke of the incense together with the prayers of the saints rose before God from the hand of the angel.
Luke 16:22-24 shows that the dead can pray for the living
quote:
22 “Now the poor man died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In the netherworld,[b] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham, far off, and Lazarus by his side. 24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames.’

The Catholic Church rejects salvation by faith alone, does she not? If so, she rejects the biblical teaching of salvation.
I go to a fairly large CBF church. My pastor would find you amusing, yet irritating. I’d agree with the latter.
