Worst Florida hurricane death count was in 1928.
The hurricane eventually landed near Palm Beach, Florida several days later. Inland Lake Okeechobee was hit hardest in the state as the hurricane caused a lake surge of 6 to 9 feet. More than 2,000 people died in Florida, mostly due to lake surge.
Biden is retarded.

Did he blame Climate Change/Trump/Maga Extremist or White Supremacy also?

where did he say that Biden planned a hurricane?
ETA - Hurricane Katrina was used against Bush and the entire Republican Party for Bush's entire second term...is it that unreasonable to think that they would seize any possible opportunity to attack the (arguably) most popular conservative politician in the country right now?

If one were intellectually honest, the failings of Katrina were generally by Nagin and Blanco in Louisiana.
FEMA response in Mississippi? That’s different but no one bothered to talk to Mississippi because New Orleans got all the press.

No, retard. He’s suggesting that Biden will take any opportunity to take advantage of a crisis for political gain…and even be dishonest and ignorant in the process.

That was the title on FOX News, CNN and MSNBC

Democrats actually pushed the idea that Bush sent the hurricane to kill black people. Remember the hurricane machine?
Libs always accuse you of what they do themselves.

This cat 4 hurricane that became a cat 1 within hours of landfall and a tropical storm by the time it crossed Florida will not possibly be the "deadliest" anything.

They’re so conditioned to playing the victim lately that they now do it preemptively.

Exactly. That one killed 2,500+ people. There is no way Ian is going to have a death toll that high. In fact the top 10 deadliest hurricanes in Florida history has remained unchanged since 1935. Andrew isn't even on that list.

There have always been hurricanes and occasionally, some especially devastating.
The problem is not the weather (or climate change) having “changed” but more and more population and infrastructure has been built in and along these areas which have always been prone to Nature’s wrath.
So be it hurricanes or water shortages in populated desert areas, the issue isn’t “climate changing” but the issue is those increasing numbers of people who are choosing to live in these areas and the impact of normal cyclical weather patterns on those increased populations.
It’s still possible for anyone whose prone to do so to look at some historical weather data and see that there’s nothing “new” or “unprecedented” occurring.
But….our Climate Radicals know that a good number of the population won’t bother on doing any such independent research and will instead be easily swayed by the latest wailings of doom if we don’t keep the climate from changing - whatever the hell that means because Al Gore nor anyone has ever said what the climate “is supposed to be”.

The 1935 Labor Day Hurricane is considered the strongest storm ever recorded to make landfall in the U.S., smashing into the Florida Keys on Sept. 2, 1935, with winds of 185 mph. It killed an estimated 409 people. Although it made its way up the U.S. East Coast, "practically all losses from the hurricane were suffered in Florida, with most occurring in the Florida Keys. A swath of destruction 40 [miles] wide occurred across the Keys, from just south of Key Largo to just north of Marathon. Most manmade structures were destroyed by the hurricane's Category 5 winds, which gusted at times to over 200 mph, and the complete inundation of the islands by a 15-20 ft storm surge," according to Hurricanes: Science and Society, a website run by the University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Oceanography.

Southwest Florida was absolutely destroyed. I have no doubt there is substantial loss of life. People simply did not leave there. Most under appreciated the southerly storm surge and immense winds. Also winds were in excess of 150mph so basically Cat 5.
Orlando has lake flooding and very poor drainage but I doubt any fatalities except two people got out of their cars and shot each other down the road last night ( does that count)

The left is already blaming climate change and that its karma because florida doesnt believe in climate change.
Lets forget natural disasters hit blue states.

Posted on 9/29/22 at 2:24 pm to Mr. Misanthrope
The casualties were high in part because FDR sent a huge contingent of unemployed veterans down to the Keys to do a public works project and were unable to evacuate them in time once the storm was discovered.
