I think the answer is frustration and anger over white southerners unwavering opposition to progressivism and support of Trump. Removing statues is punishment. Its our ancestors, most of whom were non-slave owning, poor workers and farmers who fought for the Confederacy. This is a giant middle finger to the South. When they portray your ancestors as traitorous, evil, white supremacists, they are saying you are illegitimate Americans and your input shouldnt be considered legitimate regarding the future of this country.

Progressives hate us for opposing Obama policies for 8 years and electing Trump. When they attack your family's history, they are attacking you.


I agree with you. What I really think, is they think they want to see Martial law implemented, or something to that extreme as to wreck the social fabriic of this nation.

Let's face the facts, the progressives have 99% control of what and how this nation gets its information, 100% of the democratic house and senate(there are no moderates), plus the RINO's. They seek socialism, a world where government controls all facets of business and the peoples life. Not to mention the GOPE's. Their goal is to create a unified world where corporations control all facets of government and the peoples life.

This be damned: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Since some folks caved, the progs have their in and will continue to push for anything that destroys history. They are trying to create their own perverted progressive "utopia" where all voices are opposition are silenced.

Exactly. This isnt a politcal move..its punishment for the perception that WE are the reasons for the Obama era failures and WE elected a man that is rolling back their agenda.

It literally just occured to me today. It doesnt make any logical sense for this movement. It wont gain them one single voter. This is revenge

I'll tell you why, the tearing down of the statues has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with promoting a divisive narrative for political purposes.

Stand back from the situation and look at the big picture. The Progressives lost their elected power when Hillary went down and worse yet a non-conventional president was elected. The Progressive playbook is to create anarchy any way they can. The issue is not the issue. The issue is Power. The goal is to take down the govt until they can insert themselves into power. They do not give a hoot about statues - they just want to start an arguement that keeps them relevant.

Notice, that since this issue has come up you have not heard the word "Russia" once. You have not heard about border security, or LGBT rights, etc.

Can you imagine where we would be if one of those wimp Republican challengers had won the White House (probably would not have beaten Hillary anyway). I cannot imagine Rubio, Bush, or Kasich trying to deal with these people. Cruz maybe...

No matter how they try to divert the arguement between good and evil, or political motivations, it still remains that they didn't do it during The last 8 years, but are doing it now to get back at Trump voters, if someone dies, so be it, the ends always justify the means, and they feel justified because TRUMP
