So at f-back he could catch a shuffle pass or be an outlet for a quick, easy pass if our OL doesn't hold in pass protection, which has been most of the time. Since he most likely would be covered by a linebacker he could easily get separation, and his size would be an advantage against a safety ... ...

Yeah, I get that in practice sense, but I just have to believe they are getting carries and receptions in scrimmages but they're never mentioned....

...f-back receptions or carries in scrimmage stats? As much as Coach Canada uses the position I have to hopefully assume that they just don't want to reveal how much the position will be utilized compared to last year...or every other year for that matter.
Thoughts?...

I don't know where some people are getting that Gage is just an average athletic talent... I think it's just taken some time to "click" but he's an athletic freak ...quotes from last year;
