A 64-year-old man was beaten to death on a New York City subway on Tuesday by a sword-wielding monster with at least 33 prior arrests.
David Mazariegos, 25, beat a complete stranger to death on the subway in downtown Brooklyn because he didn’t like the way he looked at him.
According to reports, Mazariegos became angry after the unidentified victim held the subway doors open for him. The act of kindness set him off and he brutally beat the victim for more than 10 minutes.
Mazariegos repeatedly punched the victim in the face and stomped on his head more than a dozen times, according to The New York Post.
The attacker stole the victim’s wallet and took off on foot. He was later arrested in Times Square with a samurai sword.
Mazariegos did not have his sword drawn. It was attached to his backpack.
The victim was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Brooklyn Methodist where he was pronounced dead.
The New York Post reported:
A deranged crook with a mile-long rap sheet allegedly confessed to savagely beating a stranger to death outside a Brooklyn subway station – coldly telling cops he didn’t like the way the victim “looked at him,” sources revealed Wednesday.
David Mazariegos, 25, was expected to be charged with murder in the senseless Tuesday afternoon assault near the Jay Street-MetroTech Station, law-enforcement sources said.
The creep flashed a sinister, partially toothless grin Wednesday as he was carted outside a Manhattan courthouse, where he was first arraigned on charges from a past case and his dramatic arrest with a samurai sword in Times Square hours after the brutal slaying.

I almost expect to hear “person killed by 20 plus previously convicted felon” every day.

VOR and his board comrades will celebrate this murder (probably).

4cubbies is saying this murder isn’t a big deal and the prior arrests don’t matter

If only he had a bike so he didn’t have to ride the subway to get to sword practice

Crockett elaborated on her views in September 2025, stating that some crimes are committed out of a need to survive rather than because someone is inherently a criminal.

In the documentary “Seattle is Dying” a guy with over 1000 arrests was videotaped while keeping over a dozen officers “engaged” who were trying to arrest him.

I wonder what Mamdani has to say?
I hate a man was killed for simply showing kindness by holding doors for someone. I hate that "looking at me wrong" is an excuse for black people to get horrifically violent.

If this guy was a few clicks more racist he would be alive. Same as the Ukraine chick.
I can’t imagine using public transportation in any place but especially a liberal shite hole.
The three rides on Marta have been enough to never want to do that. Two of those rides were for LSU games and took it once for work and was like never again.
ETA making the assumption the 64 year old wasn’t black since they haven’t released his pic. So seems as usual this is a black guy attacking a non black, lebron was right people are being hunted down in the streets or at least public transit. He just mixed up who is the hunter.

An unforgivable offense to be sure of.

I'm assuming the dude was probably not black... but honestly, does it even matter? Black people snuff each other out on the daily for "looking at me wrong", too.
Anti-racism bullshite has definitely put non black people in the crosshairs of victimization. It has trained nonblacks to ignore their self preservation and given blacks cart blanche in reasons to act out violently and hate others.

Jesus Christ. The judge, DA, have blood on their hands.

Do they, though? It isn't like they're ever held liable.
I hope in my lifetime I see that change. Right now, people aren't just at the mercy of the criminals but of those that let them walk among us... that is no way for a society to function.

Ahh, he didn’t like the way the victim looked at him. This changes everything.

In before the killer is the victim.

Victim probably called him the word, as well.
