The media just lies brazenly and without compunction while still somehow viewing themselves through a twisted carnival mirror wherein they are the protectors of truth.
I guess the reality is they’ve always just viewed themselves as getting to decide what the truth actually is because the unwashed masses are too dumb to know otherwise and their spin is in service to a greater good which they get to decide trumps objective reality.

What I hope happens is that we are left with a tariff structure that makes it more expensive to build factories in China and that punishes those (a little) who already did. This will encourage them to relocate. I hope that the decoupling from China, that was happening but slowly, will accelerate. I'm not even going to fight with liberals about this one. I sincerely hope that if the economy Booms from now through the midterm elections that the Democrats bring up that fact is often as possible so that they can then come up with whatever their excuse is for it happening

This is why I posted that we should wait for the outcome to judge. You, with your TDS, and the Trumpkins don’t wait. You immediately say it’s stupid, and they immediately say it’s smart. It will prove to be one or the other, but only in time.
I’ll predict this: if Trump ends up with significantly better deals for America you will claim victory because China is still a country or something like that. And if we end up with nothing materially different the Trumpkins will say we won because we got a $400 million plane from Qatar or something like that.
