No chance that is true. I think a lot of people that even support that shite still thinks it's really weird in their own minds. They only support it because they are followers following a narrative.

They didn't say people can change their sex, which is biological and fixed, they said gender which is just how you're feeling at a given moment. Why people go along with the changing of the language and then complain when words to mean anything is beyond me. If you mean "sex", don't say "gender" and correct anyone that says it to you.

Hey, so if I wear a Jedi costume for Halloween, does that automatically make me a real life Jedi?

No. Gender is a grammatical construct. It merely assigns the proper pronoun to use when the actual physical sex of the subject matter was appropriate.

It assigned “he” to case where the physical sex was immaterial to the subject matter of the sentence.

If the penis vs vagina status were immaterial the “he” pronoun was assigned.

Worked well.

Sadly that is the only way.

Make the damn progstains demand it be done away with.

Maybe we need to start demanding welfare payments based on our perception that we are unable to provide for ourselves.

I bet it’s closer to about 15%, which is about the number of crazy liberals out there.

I think you are underestimating how much of the Democratic base has gone all in on the crazy.

Most of those 43% don't actually believe it. It's just there's zero risk to saying they believe it. There're potential risks if they say they don't believe it.

0.43% maybe, that might be a bit much, but then again society is getting dumber everyday.

The average American has no values, do not trust their own intuition and just adopt the ideas of others.

Most humans are adopters, not innovators or thinkers.

I'd be willing to bet the 43% that believe this crap are Democrats!

It actually can occur spontaneously-- hence, all the "Michael" memes proliferating here

I approached this differently. Poll (if true) tells me 43% of our fellow countrymen has to be told what they believe.

When you condition people to think gender is entirely a subjective social construct, then sure, those people will naturally think it can change over time. It’s a problem of definitions.

All words are a grammatical constructs.

"Gender" comes from the Latin genus, meaning kind, sort or group. Genus is such a strong categorization word that it's the 2nd most granular level of the major biological taxonomy hierarchy.

Indeed, but no one was claiming those things were adamantly male or female. A boat referred to as "she" or "her" was never thought to have an actual vagina. A dog referred to as "he" when the gender was unknown was only done so as a generic placeholder.

When it came to specifics in discourse on someone being a male or female, gender has been synonymous with concrete, physical sex.
