40 million on SNAP, 40 million illegals, 55 million visas. Government borrows to pay for it all. I mean, is it any wonder the price of everything is through the fricking roof?

I was reading an article a while back about the fraud in the social programs. Apparently it is very common to have an unemployed neighbor/friend/relative set up as "the guardian" of your child, that way they qualify for the benefits while you work.

Its very common practice and the "social workers" who do the welfare checks see the child living with you and just give it a wink and a nod. 90% of govt workers are liberal dems, what do you expect.

Its the same ones who let you claim permanent disability for SS or Vet benefits when you have a headache or a hangnail.

Rather than address this, and face the wrath of the screaming MSM, we will just cut back social security on everyone, punishing those who worked for it their entire lives.

They should be shamed. I don't mind helping people in need, but a lot of these people are abusing the system. They are accustomed to others paying their way and even feel entitled to it. You should feel embarrassed for not being able to take care of yourself.

Not surprised at all. When I'm in Baton Rouge, I'll pick up groceries at WF Town Center or Walmart off College when I'm in town. I'm carrying a basket and use the self-checkout. While heading to the self-checkout, I'll see two or three people with at least two cart fulls of groceries at the register, and It's obvious they're paying with a SNAP card. Usually, it's a Momma Jag type who can stand to lose about 250 lbs. And everybody just acts like that's the normal thing. Ridiculous. I shake my head every time. Cut them all off. I'm way past sick and tired of it. Waaaay past.

Snap has as much to do with helping poor people as carbon credits have with helping the environment.

It’s a corporate handout.

It stabilizes food prices for the rest of us IF you wanted to make a counterpoint but frick that.

I'm all for helping people. But we have to seriously evaluate the programs to see if they actually help. It appears to me that some of these programs cause real harm and are just meant to benefit big corporations

We should go back to distributing rations of staple foods. We have an obesity problem while supplementing junk food on EBT. This is a generational lifestyle now, it has to be reorganized.

We can’t expect working people to have less disposable income than those they are supplementing. It creates entitlement on one side and resentment on the other.

Because they don't have to use their work income for food. They can buy nails, rims and tires, and all kinds of other shite with it

Even evaluating them would be problematic because too many people get some form of kickbacks from everything our government does.
