FIRST ON FOX: Four U.S. cities will share almost $300 million in federal funding after competing to show how they would reduce violent crime and strengthen local law enforcement.

Jacksonville, Florida; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Jackson, Mississippi; and St. Louis, Missouri, were selected for the Justice Department's new Model Cities Initiative, according to details obtained by Fox News Digital.

It's a start!

Step 1 - Put most of the 19th JDC behind bars.

Step 2 - Get judges who don’t coddle criminals

And cue some lefty who will bitch about "why do they get to have free money from Trump" whilst ignoring their "defund the police" mantra.

Depends how we spend the money and how much of it gets stolen.

Certainly have their work cut out to improve those places.

Left: the arrest of black criminals is more proof that trump hates black people.

You’re probably joking but that’s actually not an innacurate sentiment if he does.

Throwing more minorities in jail is the same as throwing money at the problem. It won’t fix it.

Proven solutions are community involvement and firm consequences when necessary, but with a path towards reform/redemption.

I’ll let you conclude what that translates to.

The City of BR will not see a dime of that $$. It will be washed and put into the pockets of local politicians.

I suspect these cities already have decent police forces. Sure, beef them up a bit, but first clear out the judiciary. Police morale and efficiency quickly improve when they see their good work rewarded.
Bukele had it right.

And those idiots in New Orleans declined to enter thus forfeiting $85 million because of their TDS.

If its going to the current leadership in St Louis CIty and St Louis County might as well burn it.

Hope the state has oversight.

I hope that Andrew Baily runs for AG again, now that he's back from the FBI. He really took the fight in this state, and miss him as our AG.

I dunno how that will work out. STL police are under control of the governor, not the mayor. Been that way for a few years, but don't remember when it started.

This is loopy left-wing horseshite. What it amounts to is "turning them loose repeatedly until they kill someone".

Step 2 should be Step 3. Step 2 is get a DA that gives a frick about prosecuting criminals.

Neither Ryan nor Hillar will be that guy.
