2028 Republican candidates won’t be able to run away from Trump fast enough after this debacle. Poor JD and Rubio will need to do what they can to start creating distance.

This thread sucks. It’s like a Rant game thread - you see a 3 point lead in the first quarter and think every coach and player sucks - and the world is falling apart.

Brother, right now we're down 31-3, they're running flea flickers, and it's working

GOP voters are idiots

I think a lot of GOP voters have rightly concluded that the GOP isn't going to do a goddam thing of any substance with the power they're given.

They're right.

This stupid war just cost us the future of our country. Couldn’t keep simple promises like no new wars, cheaper groceries and gas below 3 bucks a gallon. Simple fricking shite that everyday people want.

Nope, can’t do it.

You can’t win the primaries without him, but you can’t win the general making excuses for the “new” Trump.

Yes, and MAGA in theory is great but outside of success in controlling the border, Trump blew it by instituting ridiculous tariffs and going to war with Iran without any plan. He blew all of his 2024 political capital and the GOP is paying the price.
