At this point Cruz is playing the right game. Support the policies, keep distance from Trump.

As popular as Obama at one time, there was a "wish he would go away" factor even among democrats. After 8 years of Trump, you'd be foolish to think that there won't be a similar sentiment with Trump or any President.

Marco Rubio fricking sucks. Trump will tweet to his entire base not to vote for this guy and they will listen.

Trump is the Republican Party now. He is the gatekeeper. You don't have to like it, but that is where the party is at until further notice.

I'm surprised at how much love Cruz gets after he showed how much of a pussy he is after the 2016 election. Trump insulted his whole family and called his wife ugly and Cruz just ate it and is now a Trump dick rider. GOP should be able to do better than this cuck.

I don’t necessarily agree with your assessment of Rubio, but had to upvote bc the depth and creativity of the post... bravo sir! Thought I was reading a snippet from Tom Clancy for a sec.

I know this is a borderline troll thread, but Rubio and Cruz are not similar. Hell, I wouldn't trust Marco Rubio as far as I could throw that Establishment hack.

It’s not a borderline troll thread. The OP pussy hasn’t been here in ages. She’s only back because she thinks Biden has a good chance.

Not sure, but I’d say it’s about 3 years until all of a sudden Trump hate softens and whoever the next Republican candidate is becomes the worst person ever i.e. the reincarnation of Satan to the left and the media.

Drop the bombasity of Trump but retain his political views and their chances of winning a prez election are quite good. Hell, half the people voting for Biden is because they don't like Trump's "style".

I think Cruz would win traditional republican voters with that strategy.

I think he would lose a lot of the new trump voters with that strategy. They seem to be there for trump. I'm not sure if their enthusiasm would carry over to other politicians - I just don't see the new trump voters waving a flag with Cruz on it like they currently do. Maybe I'm 100% wrong but I think after whatever happens to trump, it'll be tough for the next republican to keep them in the tent, none of the other republicans seem to have the IT factor that they like with trump.

Eh. It’s easy to say that. We said that about Reagan. And to the rank and file among us on the right, Ronaldus Magnus still is a hero. The politicians? Not so much. They started shifting back towards Rockefeller Republicanism as soon as Bush 41 had finished taking his oath of office.

Dude, if the republicans drop the working class after trump they’ll never win another presidency.

Look at the electoral map without Virginia and the Midwest.

It’s an L every fricking time.

A little history lesson is needed here.

Reagan ran as a political outsider when Reagan sought the GOP nomination in 1976 and 1980. Reagan embodied the Goldwater libertarianism of the former Western frontier states. As an accomplished Governor of California, Reagan of course was a polished politician when he ran for the Presidency.

Yet like Trump, Reagan was a Washington outsider who was uniformly despised by the political and media intelligentsia. In 1980, Reagan railed on Padre Bush’s membership in the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations and likewise argued for a return to the Gold Standard. Reagan represented the wing of the GOP that was opposed to globalist (then called “internationalism”) organizations like the Trilateral Commission which had been founded by David Rockefeller III.

Yet these issues were taken off the table after Reagan won the GOP nomination. Reagan himself was forced to embrace Rockefeller Republicanism when he named George Bush to be his VP pick. Why?

The UniParty® exists to perpetuate the Deep State and the Deep State exists to perpetuate our nation’s print-on- demand monetary system. God bless Trump but this is why a vote in UniParty® charade is a vote for the left or right wing of the CIA.

This is why Trumpism, like Reaganism before it, will ultimately fail. This is indeed the well-spring of the current crisis. The current crisis continues until we return to sound monetary policies.

VIDEO LINK: President Ronald Reagan Campaign Ad On The Gold Standard.

“The Trilateralist Commission is international and is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. The Trilateralist Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power – political, monetary, intellectual, and ecclesiastical.” Barry Goldwater, No Apologies.

I think there are a lot of senators who hate Trump and actually want him to lose so that they can have 4 years of plain “hate the president” politics where they run the same old line about democrats being the devil so vote for me so I can keep them in line.

It’s just easier for them that way

Not really. I lived thru it all.

All of this is pretty common knowledge. Maybe not for the younger generations. They also have no clue about media decorum.

Not wholly. He needed to compromise a little.
