I can almost guarantee a cop didn’t just arrest these kids without orders from high above them.

I guarentee you the one they picked was the one they knew would do so gladly. They have an oath, too.

You have the text of the law handy that supports their arrest?

Yes and no.

The text of the law doesn’t support their arrest. He does have it handy.

I did not read the whole thing, but I accept your reading. Despite our different views, you are generally bright and not dishonest.

Cops and prosecutors misread statutes all the time. The standard to get past their immunity is pretty high. They are not losing a civil lawsuit over these charges, even if your reading is correct.

Southern Law School is half the price of LSU and the last couple of years has had a higher % of bar exam graduates.

Larry Elder wrote a column years ago about words = crime.
From memory it was "If a white guy jumps out and yells the n-word and hits me in the head with a brick, the word that bothers me is 'brick.'

No. Just explaining the realities of sovereign immunity.

LINK ]You sure about that?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it looks like over the last 7 years SU hasn't come close to sniffing LSU's bar passage rate, let alone besting them.

I understand these are July results only, but LINK ]there's also this thread that shows SU well behind all LA law programs.

A career in LE showed and taught me many things, not the least of which is how little many uniformed officers bother to educate themselves on elements of a crime.

Sad, but certainly true.

They got arrested for that?!?! Really!?!

I have seen videos by non-whites expressing far worse and nothing happens, as it shouldn't.

Lawsuits incoming.

Hopefully they get a good lawyer. Last thing we need is the government arresting people for what is said.

I'm sure the ACLU will come to their defense!

Arrested for using words on the Naughty word list. And SFP says we need to fear “christian nationalists”.
