I am curious about the legal theory as to how one would file suit against an elected official for enforcing a statute which was enacted by your legislature.

For violating his oath of office, the Constitution, and individual rights.

What riot and whom were they bullying. These clowns arresting them need to be removed from position

To be fair, I have not watched the video myself, so not sure if they were asking fellow classmates to come and attack these other students or what.

I was simply providing the facts around their arrest and hate crime being State level at this point.

Either way, I find it hard to believe these 2 students said something so horrible that would warrant an arrest

The state is going to lose this. And these clowns should be removed now.

Well, based on the video, it was certainly stupid and distasteful...

How in the world it warrants an arrest is beyond me...

How dare you question a policeman in the line of duty. Don't you care about officer safety? Cops are heroes!

Serious question here, did a policeman decide to make an arrest on his/her own? Like an SRO or someone?

OR

Is there some law that warrants the arrest of these kids and someone from above instructed / demanded the arrest?

Either way, I still do not see how the video warranted an arrest...

That’s it ???? You’ve got to be kidding. Good gosh. So….”cracker right there, cracker right there, that’s a cracker right there” by a black person would result in the same arrests?

Think about all of the craziness going on in the world, and explain to me why I should give a damn about this when everybody with a record deal spews it nonstop

For one, the seizure of the kids’ persons is a fourth amendment violation. The boys have committed no crime. Watch the video.

After the lawsuits they should never have to work again.

They were arrested under color of law.

Is it a stupid law? Yep. Talk to the GOP-controlled legislature that enacted it.

No. Which is why hate crime laws need to be disposed of.

I can almost guarantee a cop didn’t just arrest these kids without orders from high above them.

This is a moral issue not a criminal one. Hopefully they get a good lawyer. Last thing we need is the government arresting people for what is said.
