Buyers here in Florida are waiting for prices to come down.

Old folks are still dying and moving to rest homes, so those homes are still coming on the market.

Builders are building - they are just having trouble selling at the prices they are asking.

Texas and Florida are still the top two states in net migration, so that number doesn't mean what some people are implying.

I do not think that number includes the illegal immigrants being deported or self deporting, though, so that probably has something to do with the houses on the market.

Lots of investment properties meant for Airbnb/vrbo are not as lucrative as people thought they’d be in 2020-2022.

Very likely. The data show Texas with huge home construction start numbers since 2020.

A healthy market that gets overheated should lend itself to building and lowering prices. For some reason this happens as it should but since the Internet is click bait it's sold as a catastrophe.

In terms of total numbers lost since 2020, California, New York, and Illinois have seen the largest cumulative drop in residents.
