** HUGELY paraphrased; stream of consciousness. Little organization. They spoke, I typed **

edit: A replay of the meeting is now available on the Texas Nationalist Movement website.

TEXIT Virtual Town Hall
Zoom
January 21, 2021
7pm - 8pm

Speakers:
Daniel Miller, President Texas National Movement
David Thomas Roberts, Town Hall, rancher
Randy Councill, Texas patriot
Kyle Biedermann, (R-Fredericksburg)

David Thomas Roberts
The Republic is dead. The election was stolen. We have to fix the voting in Texas, whether or not Texas uses Dominion or not. Don’t listen to Gov. Abbott telling you the voting process is fine. This referendum can’t be stolen from us. We’ll have paper ballots for this.

You can’t have 40-50 years of academic indoctrination, taking God out of schools, killing babies, etc., without killing the country. The swamp is deep, and it’s back with a vengeance. Today’s EOs were a direct assault on Texas. They aren’t playing around.

This—TEXIT—is a peaceful political movement.

The colonists would never separate from England. The Berlin Wall was never going to fall. BREXIT was never going to happen. We don’t need anyone’s permission. We sure as hell don’t need the Supreme Court.

Randy Councill
Today more than ever, it’s TEXIT. Let our voices be heard. If any politician in this state won’t hear us, too bad. We’re going to be a force to be reckoned with.

David Thomas Roberts
Rep. Kyle Biedermann has been the leading voice in stopping the reimagination of the Alamo when we were fighting for the Cenotaph. We all know who was behind that. Any politician who says he doesn’t want this, be skeptical. This is not a ragtag group of loose cannons.

Daniel Miller
Kyle and I were in a standing room only meeting this week in New Braunfels. It was electric.

At the end of WWII there were 54 recognized countries. Now there are 160+. This is going to happen.

TEXIT and independence is not an act, it is a process. Right now we are taking the first legislative step to give Texans a voice to make our state self-governing. A government that begins and ends at the borders of Texas.

Billions of dollars are about to be added to the national debt. It is the new administration’s promise to destroy your livelihood if you work in oil and gas. As Texans, we have to address this. The closer we get to achieving our independence, the tougher the fight will get. It’s already happening. Other legislators are already attacking Kyle, and the text of the bill hasn’t even been released yet.

Remember: We have a great example in the Texas Revolution. Gen. Houston marched to victory at San Jacinto at 40% strength (60% washed out along the way).

Rep. Kyle Biedermann
If we don’t start today, when will we start? The process takes years. If we don’t begin this referendum now, we don’t come back into session for two more years. Time is of the essence. As soon as we file the bill on Tuesday (we originally intended to do it this week, but MLK Day was on Monday, Confederate Heroes Day was Tuesday, the Inauguration was Wednesday, today is Thursday ... the optics of filing the bill this week would’ve been bad).

Tuesday it’ll be just us. That’s when the fireworks will begin. I was expecting protests, resistance, anger in New Braunfels on Tuesday. There was none of that. When people from both parties realize what this bill is and what’s in it, they can’t attack it. It’s simply a bill to give people a voice and to show us how much money Texas had given to the federal government and how much we get back. I don’t even know what’s in the federal budget. By the time it gets to legislators, they just vote yes or no. It’s complete BS.

With this bill we’ll have a referendum for the people of Texas to force the legislature to put together a plan to put us on the road to Texas Independence.

Step 1: Pass though the House
Call your reps.
Call the speaker, Dade Phelan.
Call Lieutenant Governor, Dan Patrick.

Step 2: Pass through Senate
Call your senators.

Step 3: Gov Abbott signs
The governor is up for re-election and is going to start acting conservative. What is he going to say about Texas independence? He wants to run for President of the US. Don’t forget that.

Step 4: People vote in November

People from all over the world will fight this until November. They don’t want Texas to be independent. We’re a cash cow. We leave the US, California and New York turn the country blue.

QUESTION: If we were asked to join the Union today. Would Texas say yes? NO
Why would we not want to start the process of leaving?

David Thomas Roberts
Don’t listen to people who say you’re unpatriotic. We all have ancestors who’ve fought in wars on behalf of the US. But we don’t love our flag being burned. We don’t love the Constitution being trampled. We don’t love people kneeling.

I get offended by being called UnAmerican. We aren’t leaving America, they left us. They’ve abandoned Texas. The fate of Texas was left to the election of two senate races in Atlanta. You gotta be kidding me. What happened in the recent election was disgusting. But this is a blessing in disguise. It’s time. This was meant to be.

WHEN this passes the lege, we’ll start the campaign for getting it placed on the November ballot.

THE GOP IS SPINELESS. We’ve got em in Texas. John Cornyn, Kevin Brady.
We need to let these politicians know we’re deadly serious about this.
We’ve got to raise a ton of money. Liberty isn’t free. Advertising. Mailing lists. PACs.
This is about the art of war. The left has done a much better job fighting than we have.

Don’t listen to what politicians say.
When they’re talking, they’re lying.
Don’t listen to them tell you they love Texas.
Just ask them: Are you signing on to the bill for Texas independence? Will I see your name?
If they don’t, you won’t be voting for them—they’ve got to go.
It’s about them signing their name.
Don’t let them give you any other talk.
Either they are or they aren’t.

Today a bill was passed in DC to give 3 TRILLION DOLLARS to foreign nations.
That’s going to continue.
Texas is done, and the US is going to lose their prime jewel.
Our grandchildren deserve better.

Daniel Miller
DO WE HAVE A RIGHT AS TEXANS TO VOTE FOR THIS?
Yes. All political power goes to the people.

Anyone who stands in opposition to this legislation is saying, you as a Texan are too stupid to decide for yourself. You don’t have a voice. I came across this sentiment in the halls of the Capitol this week, and it big time rubbed me the wrong way.

Now we have a President preaching policies that will destroy Texas. I have a fundamental problem with the fact that he crisscrossed the US, trying to burn my house down, now he wants unity and Kumbaya. The only way we address this is to reassert ourselves and claim our right of self-governance.

This isn’t a Democrat/Republican issue. It’s a freedom issue.
There’s no more time.
We can’t wait two more years.

Davis Thomas Roberts
There are weasels in the woodpile in Austin, and they’re called Republicans.
EDUCATE YOURSELVES, Texans.
People want to argue with you—sometimes they bring up legit questions.
But the TNM website answers most of these questions.
Don’t listen to people who want to tell you the US will launch a military attack. They’re uninformed. Tell them to look at BREXIT.

Texas owns 8 guns for every man, woman and child on Texas soil.
If you want to get something done, tell a Texan he can’t do it.
YOU HAVE GOT TO CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES and SENATORS LIKE STINK ON CRAP.
They have got to know you. Be the TEXIT guy/gal. Make yourself known. Show up to their offices. Be persistent. Don’t ask them if they’re going to support the bill; ask them YES or NO, will you be signing the bill?

Kyle Biedermann
I’m honored to be called to action. God bless Texas.

I think the biggest takeaway from tonight’s Town Hall: The bill will be filed this Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Seems like Texas only has a relatively small window to make this happen due to demographics and west coast relocation. Was that discussed?

Is the main issue they are having right now the drilling ban on federal property? If so, how does Texit address that?

It was big time discussed.
Everyone feels the timeline.
Secession needs to make the ballot this November.

BUT ... every player is in this for the long haul—until independence is achieved.
If the referendum doesn't pass this year, it’ll go up again in two years.
That’s obviously not ideal, but it’s the reality.

“This is a process, not an act.”
That point was echoed repeatedly.
People are hot right now.

Most of the lower Midwest would sign up to go with Texas.

Missouri would for sure. We are still very red.

Would it be a simple majority or would it require a threshold (ie 60%)?

Great point. Would transplants be able to vote or only native Texans?

I find this really interesting.

This shite is just as pitiful as Calexit and can we stop jocking the BREXIT name? Texit sounds like the name of a shitty Mexican chewing gum.

You guys keep firing this talk up when dems are in the WH but you'd have a better chance of getting an amicable split if someone like Trump was in charge.

I started to signup last night to watch but it said I needed a Texas address.

Sounds like they have a really good plan in place.

no! The main issue is shitheads in DC deciding what’s good for Texas and what isn’t.

Texit is about restoring Texas’ right to control HER OWN destiny
