Someone posted this on facebook. To quote that person, "I'm not sure Cochon is even a top 20 restaurant in nola." No idea how its a "cult favorite" either. Rest of the list is basically a who's who as far as I can tell.

Look, while I love Cochon, its not even the best restaurant in the city, let alone top 20 in the country. August would be a better representative of NOLA. Still, I'm very glad to see us represented.

Pretty good list. I was surprised that French Laundry was as low as 5.

I was wondering when San Francisco and Chicago would be represented on that list. I knew Alinea would be on it, surprised it was #2.

If you have any interest in going, you need to take the plunge. It cost a fortune, but it's burned in my brain forever and ever.

Yes? This has been discussed ad nausem on this board before. I mean its definitely a great place but its not remotely a stretch to suggest there is 20 other restaurants that are better or near equal.

Littleman Style.......what's that mean. Are you a dumb frick too.

Littleman has been to Daniel about 20 times. He's been to Jean George's about 10 times. He's been to Babbo 5/6 times. Don't go there. A dumb frick can't get a reservation. It's too complicated.

He's been to L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon once and Gramercy Tavern about 10 times. He's been to Per Se and he won't go back. It takes a Rocket Scientist to get a reservation unless you want to eat at 10:30 at night. He's been to French Laundry once. He's been to Eleven Madison Park about 10 times. It's the best in NYC. Get a burger at Shake Shack for lunch in the park across from EMP. He's been to Chez Panisse once and Alinea once. He's been to Le Bernadin once and won't be going back.

He's been to NYC about 40 times. Gotham Bar and Grill, Union Square Cafe, River Cafe, you name it. Been to SF 4/5 times, Hawaii 3 times, Los Cabos 4 times, Virgin Gorda, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. John, Jamaica, Bermuda twice, Bahamas, Italy, France, London, Spain, Germany, Canada 5/6 times, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Colorado skiing about 10 times, Miami, Tampa, Charleston about 4/5 times, Savannah about 3/4 times, DC, Upstate NY, The Point, go check that one out, you name it. He's been to Galatoire's, Commander's, Gautreau's, Bayona, Mosca's, Mr. B's, Acme, Felix's, Muriels, Coquette, Lilette, Clancy's, Emeril's, NOLA, Delmonico's, August, Antoine's, you name it he's been to NOLA 50 times or more. Dumb Frick.

But Lusco's and Giardinia's is just about as good as any place in New Orleans or the U. S. NOLA has the best food in America second to none. Old Quebec City is second.

"Littleman style" is just posting a link and is not nearly as informative as posting in "Pissed off Littleman style". I like it brother, you obviously have a great deal of knowledge and experience to bring here. I hope you continue to bring it to share.

I surely put them in the top 20 in NOLA. Making this list, not so much. I'd also put August ahead, as well as Stella. But, I do think Cochon's top 20 in the city. Place is every bit legit.

Chill bro, nowhere did I say its not "legit," not in any sense did I indicate that, it was simply a reflection of your second statement.

Okay hot shot, tell me how many tables are along the wall on your immediate left once you enter the dining room.
