There were never two things that felt better to do together. Not saying I do it any more, but come on man. A 12 pack and buddy or two and a little ride around looking for ducks or deer....I am pretty sure that is what heaven lets you do everyday.

well yea, but im laughing at everyone talking like it is an everyday occurrence in 2021 to cruise around town with the kids in the truck grabbing beers out the back.

Having a Tundra, I’ve often wondered this. I love opening mine up all the way when weather is good. It’s awesome.

My old man needs a new truck and said he's gonna keep nursing his 15yr old chevy work truck along until someone makes a new truck with those features.

Everyone shite on the Avalanche/Escalade EXT but that midgate design had a cool feature where the back glass could be removed and stored away. Sure it was manual and a PITA though but nice in great weather with all the windows down and sunroof open.

I assumed the reason other manufacturers haven’t used the full back glass roll down feature is because of patents. Same reason why you don’t see any other vehicle other than Ford with the keypad entry, or GM with Onstar.

I have to agree with the above, what is the purpose?

Airflow, better visibility when backing up a trailer at night, cargo access, looks gangster, Beach cruising.

.... my personal favorite would be throwing paintballs at Tailgaters

The Bronco and K5 Blazer had roll down glass in the back, so not sure why Toyota could have a patent on it.

I use mine in nice weather, for lumber/pvc piping etc, fart sucking, and it's great to quickly remove candy wrappers that my kids leave on the back seat

had a similar but opposite thought. Someone could offer just a basic truck again (manual trans, windows, single cab, etc.) People would buy them up. Would be a great niche market for Mazda.

Farmers and Construction companies would kill to be able to get a full size heavy duty no frills single cab with manual transmission and towing package that cost under 30k

Only thing better is drinking and driving a boat with a couple girls in bikinis.

You shouldn’t drink and drive in town but honestly no issue with doing it on backroads

My work truck is an F150Xl with roll down windows. I don't mind the drivers side, but it actually sucks when you are by yourself to have a roll down passenger side because when you pull up to someone to talk to them from the truck you can't roll the fricking window down...

my dad died when I was 10 doing just that. Almost killed a 7 year old little girl as well.

In the country. Not in town.

Its not a feature I would ever use.

Yeah, I never use my sliding back glass and rarely ever used my sunroof when I had one.

While I'm sorry for the loss, drunk driving is not the same as drinking and driving.

I could drink beer all the way to Destin and never fail a breathalyzer.

That's different from trying to drink a case of beer when stuck over the atchafalaya basin.

Our chief of police has a bad habit of getting shitfaced and driving his unit around. Something which needs to stop.

I've owned 2 Tundras and that window is down on sunny days. 4 windows down, sun roof open, back window down and jamming some Creed.
