Why have other manufacturers not adopted the full roll down back window for their trucks

Like Tundra? It’s possibly my favorite feature. I was just behind a king ranch and I thought how much better it would be with a full roll down window instead of that tiny little hatch. Am I in the minority with loving this feature?

Its not a feature I would ever use. I have a sliding back glass window and its never been opened. I honestly hate it. Only reason I bought the truck is because they knocked off $1500 because I wanted a solid back glass.

Uhhh fresh air? If it’s between 50 and 80 degrees mine is open. When it’s really nice out I roll all 5 windows down. Almost like having a convertible.

So the boy in the back seat can reach out and grab you a beer from the ice chest.

I had a similar but opposite thought. Someone could offer just a basic truck again (manual trans, windows, single cab, etc.) People would buy them up. Would be a great niche market for Mazda.

100%. Not everyone wants a $75k Platinum Rancho Dinero edition with the heated seats and ball tickler just to drive 6 blocks to go get their Starbucks.

A lot of people live outside of major cities and just want a basic truck they can just use as a truck.

I'd be okay if they kept the ball tickler option on the cheaper trucks, though.

You can still buy trucks like that except for the stick shift part.

Sounds like a good way for my kid or the dog to crawl out the back of the passenger compartment while we're moving. (He's a 9 y/o, of course he'd try it...)

Useful if you need to pickup some longer lengths of lumber or trim molding at Home Depot so its not hanging 7’ off the back of the tailgate laying flat in the bed

Country Cruising is an American Right. I love drinking a cold beer (or six) and driving down a country road with the old lady...and the hound dog.

And if you bring you an ole gal, you don't need that ball tickler option.
