Suppose it depends on how high your TV is set. The Audessy set up process will help make adjustments as needed. The software is built into the receiver, and you should get a mic kit in the box.
If you have the TV mounted on the wall there are speaker bar mounts that attach easily to the back of the TV. Maybe you could get one of those to work.

I have. A 970 receiver and 550 sound bar. Absolutely no issues with either one. Not sure if they were blemished items or returns but both came in plain factory packaging.

I've been around long enough to remember the Constellation Program (Bush era). That was scrapped by Obama without a second thought (seemly for no other reason than because it was a Republican program), then allowed NASA to flounder for years. This was my expectation as well if any issues forced another WDR. Would have been different if they had been able to start when originally planned. I'll know more in the morning since I was scheduled to be at the launch.
