Your savings will come in if you can avoid sales tax. I would try eBay if there is no tax there. I can't remember. You can usually find the same tire stores that sell of their website. It's been awhile since I bought some though.

Discount Tire will match and beat any price. Plus they offer free tire repair and rotation, whether you’re a customer of theirs or not.

And they’re great with providing customer service.

I just bought a set from Walmart. Cooper A/Ts. They also had the Falken Wildpeaks at low prices as well

Fallen at3w might be one if the best tires ever. They also offer a lot of passenger rates tires if you drive a 1/2 ton which is huge for mileage and ride

Yup.

I bought online from Discount Tire because it was best price I could find, and shipped to Discount Tire for install. Then I found out the local DT store would have beat the DT online price and I wouldnt have had to wait for shipping. DT has a warehouse down the road and can get most common tires and sizes same day.

The only negative I have with DT Prairieville is they dont do alignments in house. Or at least they didnt couple years ago.

I use TireRack for reviews and info, and discount tire for their prices (and no tax). However, the last few times I’ve bought tires I’ve been able to get the same price for the same tires from the local tire shop. Yes. I have to pay taxes, but they waive the mount/balance fee (or significantly reduce it).

Last set I bought from Sam’s. They had a sale on Goodyear and it was as cheap or cheaper than I could get on the internet anywhere at the time. Shop around. Check your local shops , online, Walmart, sams, and the discount tire places. Doing your homework can save you a ton.

I checked Sam's, they dont carry the tire I need. I heard Firestone will match any price on tires. May look into that. I am thinking Terra Grapplers, I looked at the wild peaks and the load and speed rating were a little less. Not that I plan on driving 115 any time soon.

Over here we go to Texas. No state sales tax and they compete hard at the discount tire places and Sams. Stay away from the national chains, Modica Brothers, National Tire, Mavis, Pumpelly, Firestone, etc

I would be interested if you were closer to Houston?

My wife has driven an SUV pretty much full time for the last 20 years and every replacement set I have bought have been off of someone shagging their stock tires when they lift their truck and put on bigger mud tires.

Go to thw discount tire direct eBay store. Stack discounts. If eBay is giving 5-12% off any purchase, and the manufacturer is giving a rebate, and discount tire is running a special for presidents day, you can stack all of them buy buying your tires through them, through eBay.

Last time, I also purchased two sets of two and was able to get an additional discount/rebate
