I work on weeks island and see them all the time last week I was about 15 feet from one as he sniffed around our picnic table. I have seen them all over St Mary parish, especially burns point/ bayou sale' area

Saw one in Zwolle...at the blue room around 2:30.

I've seen a bunch on Tensas and Big Lake wildlife management areas.

Saw one this past February right by my house in richland parish. Saw one in madison parish in a corn field a few years back.

Two cops said they saw one in Franklinton a couple of weeks ago. Not saying they are full of it but my first thought was Pics or GTFO

Read where there is about 300 alone in the Tensas. About 600-700 statewide. That is quite a difference from the 150 or so that was estimated when I lived there.

Saw a couple across from the walmart in berwick... Ironically by the bear crossing sign

A friend of mine has some pics of one on their lease in the same area. As for the collar, mdwfp has a bear program link on their website where you can track their movement. Most of them appear to just travel up and down the river.

We had 1 (male) swim across the Tennessee river in 2008. Ended up in Athens, Alabama where an over-anxious cop shot it. I've seen obvious signs in Tensas, but no bear.

Ok I grew up there, but I moved in 06. I assume Lewis is your last name, mine too thats why I was asking.
