I have just about every Ryobi 18v tool they make. I’ve built a few decks, cut trees with the chain and pole saw, remodeled my house, and threw up 3 large pergolas. Never had an issue. Hard to beat for the $$.

I use the 10.8v Bosch drivers the most.
Adding that I've had these since around 2007. I was building a decent size deck on my old house and using this little pocket drivers. My FIL just kind of scoffed at me using them saying that they wouldn't be able to hold up on the deck. Well they did. A year or so later we were over at their house and I noticed that he had a couple of them.
They're still going strong through no telling how many big projects.

I've got about a 3 year old 20volt Dewalt. Its got plenty of power and all, but the chuck slips when you really get on it and the bit falls out.
Not sure why, buts its pretty annoying.
ETA - bought the circ saw that goes with it 2 years ago....HATE that damn thing. 1.5amp battery lasts about 4 cuts. I need to invest in a larger battery i know, but that is still ridiculous.

Milwaukee and it’s not even fricking close. New dewalt drills are trash.

i've had them all but will never abandon Milwaukee...hands down the best, especially the impact drill.

I have the Ryobi and wish I had splurged on the DeWalt. Pros: battery charge time, price. Cons: battery life, power.

I had dewalt for years then they got stolen so I decided to do some research. It led me to makita and I can say it was a very go choice. To me the dewalt was a very good tool but they could not compete with the makita. When most pros use makita that should tell you everything you need to know, dewalt while it is a good tool mostly just has a good name its not what it used to be.

I've always had dewalts. I have an electric and a 20v cordless

Ryobi for homeowner and light DIY work
Ridgid for serious DIYer
I personally have the Ridgid because of the lifetime warranty in the batteries. I also have separate corded drills for mixing thinset and older Milwaukee for drilling for electrical wires using a spade bit. Sold my hole hawg drill because I never used it

I like and use Dewalt 20v, I have some Makita's I like a lot, just too vested in the Dewalts.

DeWalt DCD980M2, lots of power and good run time even on the 3.0Ah batteries. I run 4.0 and 5.0 Ah batteries for everything though. Never had a bit fall out with a DeWalt ratcheting chuck, some people simply don't run enough clicks out of them. I run the 1/4" brushed impact drill more than anything though.

Yeah i need to invest in some bigger batteries but my Lord they cost more than the damn drill. Seriously.

As already mentioned you need the 4 or 5 ah batts for the circ saw. With Lith batts the AH rating directly influences the max discharge rate..so a 20c 5ah batt can put out 100 amps (but only for 3 minutes until totally dead, aand the windings would burn, lol)
A 20c 1.5 ah batt can only put out 30 amps.
So the bigger batts give more power and/or more runtime.
The dewalt cordless circ saws are like a hot knife through butter with right batts
