Lance Toast-chee crackers
ice cold Coke

Maybe a ham and cheese sandwich, with a tomato if possible. Sometimes will stop at Subway and get one to go.

Growing up fishing with my Paw Paw it was Saltines with Vienna Sausage and/or Potted Meat. Then on the ride home it was a bottled coke with peanuts added. Haven't tried any of those in years.

That sounds exactly what I bring for snacks now!!. I keep Barq's Rootbeer iced down for the peanuts on the ride home.

Edit to clarify what I was responding to!

We had a duck camp that we had a 50 acre reservoir put on it. When it was first stocked, the numbers got off and it was overrun with crappie. For a few years we were going down every few weeks and filling coolers. No monsters, just crazy numbers.

Whenever we were down there an old local would show up and fish with us. He was like 80 and loved to put on a fish fry, so he was always welcome.

He’d always bring a sack of spicy spam and mustard sandwiches that he would trade for beer. That’s probably my favorite fishing snack.

Spicy Doritos, pack of skittles and an ice cold coke. Don’t drink coke often, so it’s a nice treat. I only crack the skittles when the fish aren’t biting, and I have to slow down and think about my next move. It generally works.
