Aside from the occasional 3 lb marsh bass caught by mistake looking for reds, the early summer dawn with a light mist on my uncle's lake in his jon boat was my personal best bass caught.

Using Zebco's and live worms under a cork, for about an hour it was one after another as fast as my brother and me could catch them. All about 1 to 2 lbs, even as a 10 year old it remains one of my best days on the water ever.

And while I grew up fishing offshore and mostly inshore now days, that's when I became hooked on fishing.

8 lbs on private waters. I've barely done any public water bass fishing so I'll say 2 lbs there.

My uncle caught three bass over 10 lbs in the span of four hours on Lake Fork. He has an awesome mount with all of them.

7.5 lbs on a Heddon Topwater Torpedo in 1992.

My apartment in Auburn was built around a lake, I used to be one of the only folks that would ever fish it, until I caught the near 8lber. The next day word had spread an there were a dozen or more folks fishing.

This was my most recent largest- didn't have a scale, but if her body was as big as her head she'd be 10 lbs plus- farm pond, texas rigged lizard.

Mine is a 7lbs 2oz Bass caught in February 1995 when I was fresh out of high school. A buddy and I were fishing the Schwing Chute in Grand Lake. It was at the first intersection off Grand Lake. Doesn’t seem that long ago.

9.5 lbs.
red, yellow, blue mini-king spinnerbait in Febuary 2011, in about 6" of water next to some cat-tails and lilly-pads.

I was active duty then and on lunch during a submarine refit in Kings Bay Sub Base, Ga.....in one of the little ponds in the 'secure' lower base that has very limited access.

I wish I could give you the true numbers. But these are close:
Probably ten pounds (25 1/2 inches) on lake Fork fishing the pit at Chaney Branch on a Phantom Floating Lizzard Carolina Rigged. 18 feet of water.
A hand scale weighed 9.65 pounds on Lake Fork fishing a Carolina Rigged Power Worm in Little Caney Creek in 12 feet of water.
Another nine plus pounder on Lake Fork fishing the pit near Chaney Branch in 8 feet of water while drinking a beer and dead sticking a Texas Rigged 11 inch Power Worm. I was sitting down at the console drinking a beer and decided to cast out a worm and let it sit there. The beast picked it up.
Two were caught in June, one on April 30 and one of the three at night.

My gf (no pics) caught one out of the pond behind our house last Spring that my fishing guide buddies said would have pushed 8 pounds. On a Zebco ultralight spincast rig and a 1/32 oz beetle spin. She was pissed when I made her throw it back. Told her I had never caught one that big and couldn’t take the humiliation.
