Laid eyes on a wahoo this weekend. First time I'd seen one. I was drunk, when we gaffed it and pulled it on the boat my first thought was "this m effer about to shout something stupid". Something about the way the mouth is shaped.

Not the fish we caught, Google stock image. The fish looks like itd be way too enthusiastic about model trains or some shite.

Not sure about goofy but odd ones I've caught

Lookdown
Oysterfish
Longtail Seabass

Tripletail laying on its side at the top of the water can be a little odd as well

Sunfish. Weird as frick. Those Russian fisherman that pull up those deep sea beasts probably have the weirdest

If you haven’t seen the Boston fisherman discover a Sunfish, then do yourself a favor and watch this.

Anytime I see the words "goofy" and "fish", I immediately think back to my ichthyology class in school, and one of my buddies flipping through a field guide and coming to a "Slippery Dick".

Worst name for a wrasse I've ever seen, but when you see a picture of one, I guess it sort of fits...

Scuba diving and saw a hogfish. Really goofy looking when it feeds and the mouth extends.

I ate a grilled hogfish wrap when I was in Key Largo a few years later and they are very tasty.

Good eatin'. When we used to spear fish we'd try to find them vs. even grouper.

It was a one-off and I now wish I'd have saved the picture...

But I caught a deformed, "stumpy" bluegill one time. It was 2 inches of normal head and 2 inches of normal tail, but only about one inch of really fat body in between the two.

It was like it was cut off right behind the pectoral fins and spliced back together right at the anal fin. I was going to keep it for flathead bait but I laughed so hard I decided to just let it go free.
