Bow season will be here soon, I usually fill my feeders the first weekend of August but we are going on a diet this year

Bet the road ditches will not be full of corn sacks in 2022

I called the co-op last week and they said it was $12/sack. Nevertheless, I bet people buy the same amount as if it was $5/sack. Deer hunters are idiots.

Also, I am sometimes one of those idiots.

Gotta feed muh family somehow.

I'll dump a sack or two at a small tract by the house I have permission on. That probably wont change this year. It's great to make a quick sit when I'm bored.

I get my corn from the local Co-Op. $55 bucks to fill a 55 gallon drum.

Feeding all year around and started cotton seed this year. I’m about to buy 2000 pounds of corn and 2000 pounds of cotton seed today. Runs about $700 every 8 to 10 weeks at current prices.

Starting in September I’ll triple my corn feeding and feed a 50lb bag every time I hunt.

When people are dependent on it to kill a deer they will pay regardless of price or quit hunting

So you’re saying that a person who is broke will spend his money in hopes of killing a deer rather than just hunt without corn?

I’m surrounded by cornfields. I wait till harvest and go scoop it up off side of the road where they spill it when emptying the grain cart

Cost - the gas to drive around and find it

Farmer friend grows about 20 acres of corn to sell and to use and at his stands. Last three years it's been $25 per 55 gallon drum if you have the drum and $30 if he provides the drum. He's very limited on how many drums he can provide so I try to help him find a few each year.

I can let my wife and kids spend it or feed the deer.

The deer probably appreciate it more.
