I prefer Truman to Lake of the Ozarks.

Table Rock is a great fishery but the Branson side is over run with rental boats (its also $$$).

You can't actually live on Ouachita due to USFS owning the land down to the white line.

My folks live on Greers and they enjoy it. Weekends and holidays can be a shitshow with all the Little Rock and Memphis people

Truman is underrated. I've caught more crappie on that lake than every other lake combined.

In the process of building on Clarks Hill on the Georgia side. Wasn't our first choice but given the area and the price it was hard not to. Still planning on spending a good bit of time around Stuart Florida though.

Got 3-11 years left depending on how pissed off I get 3+ years from now LOL....

The one I live on now, Wilson Lake on the Tennessee River in the Florence / Muscle Shoals area of north Alabama. It fluctuates very little and the only aquatic vegetation is confined to Town Creek.

I retired on Lake Tyler outside Tyler Texas. The fish can be big in this lake but the two lakes are only just over 5000 acres. When I retired the fishing was good. Not sure about today. There are many, many tournaments on this lake. But I chose Lake Tyler because Lake Fork is kind of in the boondocks.

If I decide to move or buy a 2nd house on a lake, it will be Lake Michigan around Traverse City.

I bet that's high dollar real estate. For the past few years I've visited a friend in Wisconsin in the summer. We fish Lake Geneva several times. Bass fishing is great. I couldn't ever afford to buy property there. I suspect as much for Lake Michigan around Traverse City.

Of it were cheap, I'd already own a house there.

Those northern lakes are amazing in the summer and fun fishing.

Hartwell in SC

I've half arse considered that lake, but aren't the fish polluted or something? I remember a strict consumption policy.

L erie would be my first choice, great fishing good beaches and warmest great lake. We have a family camp on l huron, great beaches but water stays cold and fishing is meh, plus it snows like a mother in the winter.

Won a two day tournament there years ago. Caught all my fish in the grass on a spinnerbait. There's patches of grass all over that lake, you just have to find it. Unnerving fishing that lake because its so wide.

I'm retiring on Lake St John. Bought a house two years ago and will start the addition/renovations this year.

Do their boat launch reaches reach the water during the drought?

Not really a lake but wouldn’t mind retiring on Bayou Desiard in Monroe. Grew up knee boarding and fishing there and although I am too old for one and know there is way better places in Mecca for the other, I absolutely love some of the houses on the bayou. Give me a round of golf at BDCC, a spin down the bayou in a party barge, and an adult beverage on my dock and that pretty much sounds like heaven.

Other than I would be in Monroe….lol.
