Does anyone have any experince with hunting with eletric hunting bikes? I hunt in southwest Miss and I am not sure these bikes can handle making it up the steep bottoms.

Dad has one and he rides that thing all over. He says it doesn't seem to spook wildlife, see' lots of deer from it.

I've taken it on the gravel roads along the camp. UT was pretty impressive. If there is traction, it'll likely climb it.

He has a Rambo I believe.

Don't take them where they ought not be or the OB's ex officio green jeans will drop a dime on you.

They’re great for riding old logging roads that have grown up on public land.

I don't care for them simply because guys use them illegally on public land. They are only supposed to be used on ATV trials and of course no one listens that that.

Riding a bike through the woods shouldn't be illegal under any circumstances. Just because it has an electric assist doesn't magically now make it not a bike.

OP, Just make sure you get a good bike with good tires and brakes. The lower end stuff sucks. The ones you find at bass pro are overpriced or low end junk. I wouldn't get a "hunting bike", I'd get something marketed by a bike manufacture that has the appropriate gearing, tires, wheels, brakes for what you want to ride in.

This is pretty much word for word my dad.

He takes that Rambo and gets deeper into Loggy Bayou than anybody. I know he goes at least 3-4 miles in and it's hilly. Has the trailer to go with it and just loads up the deer if he shoots one and it pulls it fine. He's 69 now and probably needs to slow down but he loves it.

They're awesome. It's too easy and quiet to just ride all the way to the stand, so now I've gotten lazy.

A good mid-drive will handle hills no problem but will drain the battery alot faster.

Not all P lands allow that. One NWR clearly states that ebikes are only allowed on maintained trails, and the definition of maintain is in the brochure.
And they are going to step up enforcement, i heard .

Mr coon, NWR’s are going to step up enforcement on that. They had quite a few complaints, so i hear.

BS. “Riding” anything should be forbidden. Pedal something all you want. The rule is there to give the harder workers some opportunity and rightfully so.

I got one this year and really like it. Made a number of hunts and it’s just so much easier to get down the logging road, even gets through the swampy stuff.

Did almost eat it bad when I recently fallen limb nailed my foot, but my light went out that trip.

I ride mine on public land in MS. My only regret is I didn’t get a step through. This is a Himiway.
