Definitely need new line. Buy a 7wt wf floating line. Lots of good options on Amazon. For a leader, make it simple. 5’ 30lb mono to 3’ 12lb mono. Use a triple surgeon knot to connect the two. Very easy.
Where are you located? No wake in Metairie has an awesome selection of flies. Otherwise, look at finatics website. They are out of Houma and have local fly tiers with some great bass bugs. Get a couple poppers size 4 to 2/0. And some simple weighted sub surface flies. Finatics sells one called the slam-r. Guaranteed to catch fish.

Bait storage--plastics
Posted by Success on 8/9/26 at 10:17 pm
Long story short. Took the kids fishing and lost 2 plano 3600 of plastics. As I replenish my stash, I am rethinking how I will store them. I want to keep them in their original pouches. Are y'all storing them in these binders or bait bags they sell?
Might be a dumb question but mine didn’t come with instructions and I can’t figure it out. How do I toggle between the different light settings?

Buddy took his kid and 2 kid friends and caught 35 keeper specks and 60 white trout. Had a mess of fish to clean.
Summit viper is plenty big
Also I recommend replace the whole shaft. Changing just the boot is more work and not much cost savings.

I’ve done it a couple times. YouTube videos guided me. I can do it without now.
Where you located? It’s not a bad job at all. You’ll be surprised once you do it how easy it is.

I just redid mine last winter. Went with 6 kicker 6.5”, kicker marine head unit, skar 4 channel marine amp. Did it all myself. Very happy with it.
I don't use them on public. But around my house and my private land, it's been a game changer. Nice getting to a tree and climbing it without already sweating my arse off.
I just did this. Motor had 2500 hours and compression issues in one cylinder. Lower unit probably needed to be rebuilt. Looked around and got a deal on a "scratch and dent" Honda with 0% financing and extra 2 year warranty (5 total). Sold the old motor for "parts". It was a Suz 175. Got 1500.

Accuracy does not change. Point of impact may. You will likely have to shift zero.
