I take care to make sure my quartered meat is well taken care of. I don’t have the equipment, or desire to take the time to process myself. I’d like to have my deer processed and receive my meat back.

With that, what processors around the Baton Rouge area return your meat to you? I’m not sure if the guys I’ve used do or not.

I’ve used...

I’m convinced that most do not. I hope I’m wrong. A friend is convinced Vines does. I’m not sure

I’m guessing high volume places don’t return to you what you brought in. Just a guess though.

As far as sausage goes, he would be incorrect.

The Deer Depot in St. Rose does. I know for a fact that when the new guys took over, they made it priority that you get your own meat back.

Stacies deer processing just out of crystal spring Mississippi does. Best sausage bar none. But it’s a long ways from Baton Rouge. But worth the drive.

No Mr. Pete did not pass that I know of, he was getting too old to do it anymore. His son was not interested in taking it over. Not sure the name of the new people, but Mrs. Gina called me to let me know when they sold it. i have been pleased since they took it over.

We went to Vans the other day to Christmas shop and they weren’t accepting deer at the time. They were maxed out.

Vines is good too. They stay busy.

Obviously this is like which truck is best...I’ve had vans. It’s good stuff. But it isn’t Stacie’s.
